Greetings.
66, RRP June 2023. 6ft, 178lbs, married 39 yrs, happy life, still glad to be working and active.
Good recovery, feeling excellent
Cialis 5mg helping with blood flow but no noticeable change.
Trimix, first round 12 injections low dose 10-2-10. Almost no woody, more like paper pulp.
Now trying Trimix 30-2-20. First one 35ml, on woody scale 0-10 it was a 3.
Round 2, .40ml, scored a 4 on woodrow scale, too weak for use, lasted 15-20 mins
Round 3 tonight, .45ml, wish me luck.

Question for you fellow “members”: how high can i go with volume at this level before I ask my trusted doc to bump the dosage? Any body have a similar experience.

Thank you all, this forum is a shining light in a dark tunnel

Well good luck!

IMHO, you've already reached the point of asking for a stronger mix.

Please keep in mind that if your injection technique is lacking and you've moved to a strong mix and you suddenly "get the technique right" you might find yourself in priapism territory.

You might want to talk to your doctor about possibly stacking your injections with Viagra. Many guys do. However you need to use care as you're still in the titration stage and still looking for your correct base dosage.

A novelty/sex shop cock ring may give you a surprising boost. See the "Cock Ring" thread in the "Members Only" sub-forum.

Don't be surprised if after figuring out your dose you then find you have to back off again. I had that experience.

I don't actually use tri-mix. I'm using 15 units (.15ml) of a locally compounded Edex substitute of alprostadil (PG-E1) mono-mix at 80mcg/ml.

Thanks bldoink, appreciate the reply. Lets see how the next few rounds go, then I will report back.

Agree with bldoink, but if you add Viagra or Cialis to injections, don't forget to take it an hour ahead of an injection, to get it absorbed completely (and stay out of "priapism territory"!).

It's been a long time since I was injecting but my dose got up to 60 units to be effective. Once I did 80 units, regretted that.
It does sound like you may need a stronger mix.
Have you had a doctor inject you? Make sure you are hitting the correct spot?
Best of luck dialing in a dose that works.

thanks for all the advice. My doc said start at .40ml and I did, trying .45ml later today, taking it slow to reach desired result without going overboard with a paddle in hand, wink wink.

Thanks fellas

Hi Everyone,
I am brand new to this forum in this new era of my life. Below is what I wrote in Word and copied here. I think any responses now will be more spontaneous and shorter in length.
I am 67 and the ED drugs stopped working for me about 9 years ago. The last time I made love with my wife was a long while ago. My sexual urges have always been strong and have remained so to this day. But living a flaccid life
Recently I started on Ozempic, and I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. I also found out about PT-141 and I started to say I am not ready to cash in my chips yet and have become on a mission to find a way back to what was once a very healthy sex life.
I have ordered some Trimix and received and my first injection was 2mg (I think). The needle bent on the way in, so I am going to order an autoinjector from the supplier. I didn’t get a stiffy but felt a rock like feeling in my left side.
I am surprised about how flimsy the needles are and don’t’ want to repeat the first episode.

I feel like I am walking in the dark in this new world. Different strengths of Trimix, what to inject. Any advice on the way forward would be most appreciated.

Welcome Bud. You're about to meet new friends.

I've injected Trimix for seven years and am very satisfied with it. I find that manual injecting suits me better. The needles are made of very ductile steel, and so I don't worry about bending even 32 gauge, which are the thinnest available. I've bent a needle back and forth with pliers and could not break it.

You will find good injection techniques in the "Injections" topic; the fastest way to titrate up to the optimum Trimix quantity is by keeping a spreadsheet of all the injection parameters and results. It took me about three weeks of slowly titrating up, twice a week, to get to a good quantity. Avoid priapism by increasing the amount slowly. Get some phenylephrine capsules in case you get an over-four-hour erection; I used 60mg once when it happened to me. I hope you got good guidance from your urologist.

Thank you Martin, most appreciated. I haven't seen an Urologist as yet as I am Canadian and have had to wait over half a year so far. I am currently wintering in AZ and have received the Timrix through a supplier from Miami. What is the major drawback from using an auto-injector and why do so many people prefer to self inject? This is of real interest to me.

Welcome to this site. I discovered it as I approached my implant. Sometimes it may seem a bit implant-centric but the reality is it is all things ED.

I injected for 32 years, give or take. From 1987 until I was implanted on 31 Dec 2019. I am generally a fan of injections-they’re not a perfect solution, but they are damned good.

I used a 1/2” 29 gauge insulin syringe the entire time. No scarring. No fibrosis. No discomfort. Occasional broken blood vessel with a bit of bruising. No big deal.

You know yourself better than anyone. I tried a 3/8” needle and it didn’t deliver the medication into the corpora. If you were like me and had zero experience with other guys’ erections, then whatever you got is what you view as normal. I didn’t think 6” girth was especially thick but when it comes to getting medication to the right place it is. So a small needle sounds good but why jab yourself if it’s not going to do any good? If your girth > 5.5”, plan on a 1/2”.

I never autoinjected. If I was doing it today I still wouldn’t. I wanted to be in control. After a few years I got to where I could feel when I was going thru the tunica and then the needle slid in like a hot knife thru butter, and I knew I was in the right place. As I depressed the plunger I knew if there was any resistance to injecting the medication I was not in the corpora and I ought to pull out and try again.

After I got thru my 20s when I was always super excited to be getting laid that I erupted within a minute or two, it started taking longer to cum. Injections don’t help that at all. In fact, if I have one complaint about shots it was delayed ejaculation was a very real and frustrating problem. Don’t do like me-thrust for over an hour with your wife with >6” thick cock and not enough lube and leave everything chafed, irritated, and sore….setting her up with the mother of all yeast infections. You’ll end up on the couch doing celibacy without parole for a while.

Quadmix and Trimix - both good. Prostaglandin E1 by itself (Caverject) - Be ready for bad case of achy dick. Bimix (Papaverine/Phentolamine) - was all we had but some guys report higher likelihood of fibrosis/Peyronie’s. I had no trouble.

Bottom line: injections can give you many years of very satisfactory sex. I’d still use them except the oral med/shot combo got less effective and the delayed ejaculation just became too frustrating (not all guys experience it).
Even though I’m implanted now I have many years of injecting & feel free to shoot me any questions. I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on TV but I am happy to share 32 years of discovery learning about all things injection related.
