New Guy

Postby PigIron » Sun Dec 18, 2022 4:00 am

Just found this forum a week or so ago, so much information. I’m 59 years old and had a radical prostatectomy a little over 5 years ago, they saved the nerves but still not even close to 100% erections so I’ve been on Trimix all this time. It’s really become a chore with the injections and the uncertainty of how long the erections will last, I’ve had it go down 10-15 minutes after sex but I’ve also had many instances where i approached 4 hours and have had a couple of 4+ hour erections this year alone and they’re very painful and nerve wracking, so I’m seriously considering getting an implant soon. Waiting until after the first of the year since I’m going on my wife’s insurance and don’t want to deal with any screw ups with the insurance. Just wanted to introduce myself and its great to be part of this forum.

Welcome New Guy,
You are in the right place. In my opinion you will find lots of “street smarts” info that even some of the best M.D.s don’t make you aware of and maybe not even be aware themselves. Many will attest to an implant being the best alternative for them including myself. Going through the personal excercise of learning about E.D. and the alternatives gives peace of mind that you have done your due diligence yet can’t control 100% of the circumstances. The net effect is less stres and possibly the best result.
Good luck and prayers on your journey! This could be your Merriest Christmas present.

It seems like you already have everything under control. Can your doctor or pharmacist help you adjust your dose if you don't want a 4 hour erection? I doubt the erection duration you have experienced would do you harm. I would think the whole process would be beneficial to your penis. What you have is natural and currently working. I can't see why you would want to move to an implanted device at this point. You've already achieved so much, and are several steps ahead of many men on their journey. Check out that pic someone posted of infection on their incision. Not nice!

Welcome to the forum.

I you're still interested I suspect your inconsistent results could be addressed. It sounds like your injection technique needs some improvement.
