Re: New Member Update re injections/Trimix

Postby Martin25 » Mon Jun 06, 2022 8:43 pm

Well, I decided to follow the advice of fellow members and try to exhaust all possibilities before an implant...however, I am now still waiting from to hear back from Dr. Eid's office regarding starting Trimix...I distinctly remember him telling me that I could try daily Cialis and Trimix after the Alprostidal had medium results, at best, in his office for the sonogram...he said I could think it over then contact the office if I wanted to go that route...that's exactly what I did; however, the compounding pharmacy in NJ said the office put in a prescription for Alprostidal...I called Dr. Eid's office last week, explained the situation, but, unfortunately, he didn't leave any notes...and he is impossible to get on the phone, so now I am waiting five days to hear back from his office staff; I've reminded them twice, including today, but they haven't gotten a chance to speak with him...I know how busy he is, but it's frustrating...the office person I spoke to said it's a 'big jump' from Alprostidal to Trimix and that there is bimix, which would be the logical next step...but Dr. Eid said Trimix! And when I looked up bimix, the web site said it's for people who can't tolerate Alprostidal, since it doesn't contain that.

Anyway, this is my 'update'...hopefully I'll have something more concrete to share soon...thanks again to everyone who has responded.

I'm a bit confused. So he sent in a script for straight alprostadil but you're insisting on trimix? Why? Give the alprostadil a try. I've been using it for over a decade and it works great for me.

He injected me with alprostidal in the office and I didn’t get an erection (maybe 50%?)…then the doctor suggested trimix (he put me on daily 5mg cialis the prior visit two weeks before) that’s why I was confused when the compounding pharmacy contacted me…I hope something works

All of the injection meds are potency and dose dependent. You obviously didn't get the ideal dose and/or potency in the doctor's office. It can take some time to titrate to the correct potency and dose.

Thank you, Bldoink… my doctor’s office agrees with you to start with the alprostadil first. Hopefully I’m able to handle the injections, otherwise I can go into the doctor’s office with the compound and practice there. 2 1/2 years ago I did try the Caverject, not easy, but I was able to do, I think, two injections at home…

Alprostidal Injection Therapy, first injection

Postby Martin25 » Mon Jun 20, 2022 7:48 am

Finally got my delivery from the compounding pharmacy, although the alprostidal was liquid and the ice packs were room temp...called pharmacy and was told fine to re-freeze...

I was told to begin with a dose of 50, then increase in intervals of 10...the anticipation of the needle was much worse than the actual injection, which was not that bad (I was afraid of hitting a vein!).

The result? My penis thickened and was engorged, but not nearly firm enough for intercourse...I tried stimulation...again, thick, but not 'stiff.' When I defrosted the alprostidal, I prepared two syringes, one at 50 and another at 60, and refrigerated both, anticipating having to increase...I guess I will wait a day or two (I injected last night) and then try again...I'm a little apprehensive about trying the left side of my penis (I injected on the right last night) because it's a little awkward...is it okay to use the same side just 2-3 times while working out the dosage?

I hope this works for me as well as it does for you...thanks

PS: I'm just doing this solo before attempting intercourse because all of the 'fails' when the pills stopped working made me start having negative connotation with sex

Alprostidal Injection, take two

Postby Martin25 » Wed Jun 22, 2022 10:10 pm

Today, I injected for the second time...I already had a dose of 60 ready to go in a syringe in the fridge (the main bottle is in the freezer)...
I still did not get a strong erection...my penis just swells up, especially near the base, but it isn't 'rigid,' not yet good enough for vaginal penetration...I would say it was a step up from my first try at a dose of 50 two days ago...it was a little awkward injecting on the left side; there seemed to be more veins (maybe I was examining too closely, under a lamp?)...
I injected, tried to massage the medicine into my penis a bit, then tried stimulation...my swelling is more than I had when I used to get good erections with viagra, but it is not rigid; it's too pliable...
I tried adding a unique cock ring that cost a lot of money (don't waste your money, fellas), the 'Eddy by Eddie' but I felt the engorgement at the base was too much which made the ring uncomfortable, so I took it off...I tried to masturbate and I climaxed, but, again, with an enlarged and expanded penis but no 'wood.'
I know I have to increase the dose, but I wonder if I'm injecting too close to the base (about 1" up from pubic bone) and if that makes a difference? Thanks to all...
PS: should I move this discussion to a different part of the chat board? I've just been continuing from my new member intro and changing the subject heading..

You can start a thread under injections if you want. it sounds like to me that you may have to move up to TriMix since its more powerful.

What is the strength of your mix?
