47 yo in South Florida seeking help

Postby canesfan4life » Thu Jan 30, 2020 12:53 pm

Hello,
I need advice or possibly some direction from others who have maybe had a similar experience or similar symptoms.

About me: I am a 47 year old heterosexual male. For the better part of my adult life I was a moderate to heavy drinker (which may be the root of my problem). I quit about 1 year ago and did a complete lifestyle change. Exercise 5 days a week, eat a healthy diet, even changed my career to reduce my stress and likely triggers for my drinking. I experimented and started taking ED pills in my 20’s for recreational use to make sure there were no “whiskey dick” issues on my late drinking nights with women. That recreational use turned into a requirement as I started to get prescriptions from my primary care physician. Roughly 2 ½ years ago on a cruise with my then significant other we were just leaving port and we had a few drinks. I had already had a Cialis pill and it was working. We engaged in some vigorous sex with me behind her. My penis bent hard. (there was no snapping sound). I began to bleed in a steady stream from the tip of my penis. I ran to the tub and got in it. We were freaking out wondering if it was going to stop. It finally clotted up and did stop. As we were on a cruise ship my only course of action was the infirmary. The physician told me I could have fractured my Urethra and should abstain for the remainder of the cruise. I never saw a physician when I got back home which was a huge error on my part. As time has passed since that incident my erections are very soft and ideally not hard enough for penetration which I finally addressed with my PCP. He tried me on standard ED medications which do give me semis but still not hard enough for penetration. I saw a urologist which last about all of 5 mins. He basically said if pills don’t work, we could try injections and worse case entertain some sort of implant. I basically froze and did nothing from that point on being completely discouraged.

Last year in my life style changes I became single again. (not because of the ED) I knew I had to do something about my ED if I were going to date again. I live in south Florida and they men’s wellness centers are on every corner. I decided to go to one and get a consultation. I explained everything to the physician up until the point of where we are now. They gave me a doppler test and said that one side was moderate to severe blockage of blood flow. I was also administered a low dose injection that would give me an erection to check my Hardness level. The injection provided about 30% standing up and my erection seemed to fade if I sat down. So, I paid for the services of 12 sessions of EPAT (shock therapy) 2 P-shots and 2 vials of Quad mix injections. 3 months removed from all these services I do not see any changes. I was told that I would need to wait 3 months to experience its full potential for my body to heal. The injections do give enough firmness for penetration (BARELY), however only if I’m standing up. I understand there may be some type of venous leakage. It was also mentioned that there may be some sort of scar tissue from the healing of the possible fracture, but I would think that would not coincide with the doppler results. In other words poor blood flow pumping in wouldn’t be related to the scar tissue.
I have read on the internet that maybe I should see a cardiologist because it may be a blood flow issue or possibly an indicator of something else. I called my primary care physician today and he is bringing me in for a circulation test.

I have tried pumping, using cock rings, all kinds of different supplements. I am completely discouraged at this point.

My bloodwork is perfect. The only medication I take is Cypionate to maintain a 800-1000 testosterone level.

Supplements: Zinc, Red Panax Ginseng, L-Arginine, L-Citrulline, Pine Bark Extract, Maca. Basically, anything the internet says helps with erections.
Quad mix ingredients: Papaverine 9mg/hl Phentolamine 1mg/ml Alprostadil 10mcg/ml Atropine 0.1mg/ml

I would like to thank everyone in advance for their time in reading this and any suggestions or direction you can give me. I just want to have a somewhat normal erection to have a healthy sex life.

If I left any information out let me know and I will try to provide it.

Hello My Friend:
Sorry to hear of your problems and I want to commend you on the positive changes you have made for your overall wellness. Getting help with our penis seems to be a difficult task but I am here to bring good news. Just hang in there! If your Urologist is not going to help you there is one out there that will help you. I would caution you on seeing many physicians for the same thing. You have to do what you must do to make sure that you are in good overall health. Aside from that fact I would suggest that you stick with one Urologist if you like him and trust him. If you don't I would urge you to see another Urologist and then stick with him and let him document what he has to do in order to help you. I have been injecting trimix for the last four years. Never was I ever told the risk in doing so. Since I started using trimix I have had some great successes but at the same time my cock has suffered and paid the price. I developed scarring on both sides of my cock from injecting trimix. I have always had a cock that was as straight as a stick but developed a slight curvature to left this past year. I also have lost close to an inch in length this past year. That was a big red flag to me to do something. My Urologist told me nine months ago that I needed to have an implant. I had to mentally accept this fact before I could do anything. I could not and did not run out and have an implant. Instead, I started researching everything I could that had to do with penile implants. I finally made an appointment with a surgeon at a major medical center and took three pages of questions with me that day along with my wife for support. The doctor took his time with me and answered every question that I had on my list. He even complimented me and told me that he thought I had set a new record with the number of questions and complimented me on my knowledge and the amount of research that I had done regarding the topic of penile implants. I was extremely impressed with the doctor and his experience and set an appointment that day for surgery for a penile implant. I followed up with him and had my implant on January 9, 2020 of this year. He had zero infections to date. I had no pain with my penile implant. How is that possible? I don't know but I assure you it is true. I was extremely impressed with his surgery on me & on my penile implant. If I had been given all the facts about injecting trimix into my penis I don't think I would have ever started injecting. My own Urologist confirmed to me that I should have been made aware of the facts about using trimix. I would have gone straight to the implant and skipped using trimix. I had some great times and great successes with trimix but my cock has paid the price. My implant was a great success to this point. I am currently in week three of a six week healing period that my doctor has implemented. I am scheduled to go back in late February to be activated and will start cycling and be cleared to start using it at that time. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have that I have not made clear In this email. The guys on Franktalk are absolutely fabulous. Feel free to ask us anything. They helped me tremendously. I wish you the absolute best in your journey to conquer ED. It is destructive the longer it is not dealt with. Hopefully you will find a doctor you trust and stick with him. Most guys will tell you to pick a high volume surgeon that does strictly penile implants. You can get most all the doctors on line and even watch videos of Dr Kramer online and see how and what he does with regard to implant surgery. Also, I think most guys will tell you to try everything you can try to conquer your ED BEFORE you have an implant. I DISAGREE with that because of what I have stated above! Feel free to ask any questions you would like as I would be glad to help you in anyway I can. We have all walked in the ED shoes and wish you the best in getting out of those shoes as quickly as possible. Have a good evening!

You know, it’s part of the site’s intrigue to roll a guy’s writing style in...along with his story, commentary, history, and internet persona and then if he’s posted a picture of himself in members only.....see if he looks like you think he did in your mind.

Thank you for your kind response.I saw my primary care physician this morning and we reviewed what I have tried up to this point. One of the most disturbing points came up when he asked me about morning wood. I said I never get them anymore which to me would suggest a more physical issue rather than a mental one. Although over the last few years there isn't a sexual encounter that I have that performance anxiety and thoughts dont streak across my mind.

My Doctor checked my heart and BP which were both fine and checked my pulse on the bottom of my legs. He stated "your pulse is as strong as an ox", nevertheless he ordered a ultrasound on my legs to make sure my blood flow is unblocked. This test will occur on Tuesday 2/4.

Are there any other tests that may be helpful that members have had done in the past as a process of elimination for your ED?

Thanks again.

The information you took the time to share was excellent, accurate, and well-intended. I'll take content over style any day. Read the last 50 pages of James Joyce's Ulysses (after reading the preceding 780 pages) and then tell me style matters. A single, 50 page sentence minus all punctuation, and arguably one of the most significant pieces of prose ever written in the English language.

Don't worry, notaes, you know...no pressure! We don't need Joyce here. But we don't need the MLA or AP style book, either; just good solid information about dicks.... ;)

Thank you so much for those kind words. My intent with every word I post on FT is meant to try and help someone. The guys on here have helped me and all I want to do is my part to help the guys reaching out asking for help! Reaching out and asking for help is a hard thing for a man to do! I don’t care so much about style. I just want to help. Anyway thank you for your kind words. I do appreciate them very much,!

I don't care much about style either. However, with my older eyes, huge blocks of text without breaks are hard to read, so much so that most times I won't read them. For instance, I didn't read the post in question. I just noted my suggestion, or complaint, or terse smart ass response if you prefer and moved on. I suppose I could change the text display size but then I'd have to scroll back and forth on the screen and then change it back when done. Yeah, I'm lazy!

Hey buddy!

When I made my appt for a consult with surgeon/Urologist we scheduled my surgery. We discussed the fact that he could order several tests which to me was a complete waste of my time and money. I had used trimix four year along with cialis and viagra. I knew what I wanted @nd needed. I suppose all the tests are up to you if you want to know exactly what is causing all your ED problems. However, I would bet the answer to your problems will be an penile implant.

Do you want to spend the time and money for all the tests needed to tell you exactly what’s causing your problems? I’m sure it’s probably a decision you and your doctor will have to make whether to skip tests and move right to the fix. I wish you the absolute best! Godspeed!
