New guy. 32yo, pills ineffective till now

Postby mraakim » Wed Jan 29, 2020 11:56 am

Hello all,

I actually have been following this webiste for a year now and i think this is an excellent resource for information and also a support group for men with erectile dysfunction.

I have been suffering from erectile dysfunction for about 2 years, maybe even longer, but as you can imagine, it has become a real problem since i got married about 8 months ago. My wife is also my age and we were both virgin before marriage and hence we thought out initial troubles having sex were due to inexperience. During this whole period we could only manage incomplete penetrative sex for about 4 times. My erection usually goes away as soon i am about to enter, or at times even before that when i change my position. A few times when my erection was strong enough ( on Viagra) to penetrate, i just lost me erection as soon i penetrate. We are also thinking of conceiving and that is an additional stress.

Went to a doctor and got prescribed Viagra and Cialis, but they seem to make little difference. They do make it easy for me to have an erection and make them a bit stronger, but they do nothing for my main problem, which is that my erections are still position dependent and still need constant stimulation to survive. I can get an erection when lying on my back, but as soon as i change position, it just goes away in seconds. And it is nearly impossible to get an erection or maintain it while standing.

I am in Europe and doctors over here are very conservative. I have told my urologist that Viagra and Cialis are not working, but she still thinks it is just psychological. I am not sure what is the next step. The next step from pills should be injections, but my urologist was not really receptive to that. It is very difficult to get a prescription for penile injections over here unless you have some demonstrable nerve damage of you are older than 60 years. Although did convince her to refer me for a Doppler ultrasound test to rule out venous leakage. I will be getting it next week maybe.

If anyone has any recommendation or advise, it would be really appreciated. Thanks for reading.
32yo, married, ed since 2 years, pills not effective. Possible venous leak, will get a doppler ultrasound.

The fact that your erection issues are position dependent is consistent with a venous leak. The Doppler ultrasound will give you that information. Depending on how bad the leak is, even injections may not help. Viagra, Cialis and injections all increase in blood flow into the penis; however, if the leak is too bad, the blood just flows back out. One possible short term treatment for a venous leak is to use a constriction ring, also called a cock ring. The best way to put on the cock ring is to use a vacuum erection device to produce an erection. The cock ring goes on the outside of the cylinder on the VED and, once your erection is pumped up, the ring is slid down onto the base of your penis. You will have to experiment with various ring sizes to get the one that is best for you. To be on the safe side, only keep the ring on for 30 minutes at a time. There are two types of VEDs. One is for masturbation; it typically has a flared base, which makes it impossible to slide the ring off easily. The other is for creating an erection for intercourse; its base has no flare.
71 years old in 2018; married 49 years. ED since 2001. PD5 inhibitors (Viagra, etc.) worked with increasing dosages until side effects got too bad by 2017. Now using Trimix injections. Delayed ejaculation has been a continuing problem since 2012.

I had a severe VL and was only able to get and keep an erection while on my back and quite still. I would try to penetrate really quickly thinking if I could get going I would stay stimulated, but always went completely soft.

When a doctor injected my penis to see if I could maintain an erection I was able to but again I was laying still on my back. As soon as I was ready to sit up it went soft.

When I went for the Penile Doppler test the man doing it said I could lay, sit, or stand while waiting for the injection to to effect. I never got more than a semi erection and the test proved a 35-40% leak.

I now finally have an implant, but went to one doctor after another to find out what the problem was. Most only wanted to prescribe pills, not help find the problem. If your doctor you are seeing is a standard urologist, get a second opinion from one who specializes in men’s sexual dysfunction. They general know more and will dig deport to find the cause of the problem
And a solution to correct it.

Best wishes.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

If you are going to try a cock ring, highly recommend the hardwear horseshoe cock ring. It works effectively for me and stops the outflow......unlike you, I'm single so has been tough for me to just whip out during random hookups. GIven that you are married, I think that is not an issue....and if it helps you to stay hard and do the job, it's a good solution. I think it costs under $100 bucks and you can get it shipped within a couple weeks most likely. Let us know how it goes - I think cock rings need to become a more advertised option (especially the hardwear horseshoe one which has worked for me). Happy to share more if you pm me with any questions.

I'm 34 by the way...so we are around a similar age. The ring also helps to enhance the erection for me (but it admittedly does get pretty veiny....you also shouldn't wear it for more than 10 minutes at a time).

I had the same issue.i understand your problem, you should get a doppler done sooner.it will certainly show a venous leak.I dont hink cialis or viagra willhelp.

I went through same hell for ten years.I would suggest try injections but i hated them .if you dont like it implant is only option.
