New here and don’t think PMs are sending.

Postby GoodWood » Sat Aug 17, 2019 2:55 pm

Hi Everyone,

I’m relatively new here. Have posted a couple times and tried to PM other members here 3 times in the last two weeks. The three messages remain in the “outbox” and there is nothing in the “sent” box. I’ve also not heard back from them. Is there a setting I need to click to get messages to go out. Are new members on a probationary period where they can’t send PMs?

I asked the same question via the “contact us” link a few days ago but didn’t hear back so I thought I would try here.

I’m finding this web forum really helpful. Thanks to everyone who makes it happen and participates.

After your message go back up the page to where it says send and that should work. :D :D

IIRC, messages remain in your outbox until the recipient reads them. So if you "send" a message, all that happens is the recipient gets a notification at the top of his screen that a PM is waiting. If he reads it, it will then be removed from your outbox and shown as sent.

Thanks for the reply. I sent you a test PM. Would you mind replying to that one so I can know my PMs are sending correctly?

Thanks much.

PMs are I fact working fine. Another fellow here sent back a reply to my test message to him. Just the three guys I PM’d in the last two weeks didn’t see they had messages.

Just don’t want to leave anyone with the impression that the website is not working properly.
