1st post introduction.

Postby GoodWood » Mon Jun 17, 2019 1:14 am

Hello,

First time posting here. I’ve been reading the posts over the last couple months and have found them helpful but figured it was time to introduce myself.

I’m 50yo, married, and have long put a lot of self-worth in my sex life. Seem to be bigger than average endowment and didn’t realize how important that all was to me until the last 5 years or so as I’ve seen my erections diminish.

I used to wake with a rock hard erection most mornings, had very rigid spontaneous erections, and rigid erections that lasted during sex. I lasted a long time but orgasming always happened and my spouse was really happy.

Now in hindsight ED has been creeping in over the last 5 years or so. I finally asked my GP about trying viagra, levitra, and cialis 2 years ago. Viagra and levitra worked well at first although daily cialis made my pelvis ache and I found it early impossible to orgasm.

No significant health issues (no HTN, no DM, no injuries, no medications). Fit, go to the gym, I could lose 20 pounds but I’m 6’2” so that’s not too bad. My testosterone level is in the middle of the normal range (600ish I think).

Over the next year viagra and levitra became less effective. They definitely worked well enough for a handjob or oral, but sometimes I wasnt stiff enough for penetration. The unpredictable nature of it is difficult. So last year I started on trimix. I don’t remember the initial mix but the dose escalated up to 30units or 0.3ml before my urologist switched me to the current 20mcg/30mg/1mg trimix. I’m currently using 30units or 0.3ml of this mix with decent results. I get an erection firm enough for penetration and it lasts for about 20-30 mins before it starts to go away. By an hour later it’s gone.

It bums me out to lose the spontaneous sex that would just happen.

I have a couple concerns:
The sensitivity of my penis seems to have decreased over the last 5 years as well. Sex just is t as intense whether it’s masturbation, oral, or intercourse. It’s now to the point I that it can be difficult for me to have an orgasm. I can do it every time masturbating but have to be much more vigorous than in the past. Oral sex can get me there but has to be vigorous and using a specific technique. Having an orgasm during intercourse has become VERY difficult. I sometimes “fake it” because I realize I’m not going to cum and I don’t want to disappoint. I talked to my urologist about it but he said that the decline in sensation was all in my head. That wasn’t helpful and I don’t think it’s true.

I’m worried about the trajectory of this decline over the last 5 years and where this ends up. I feel too young to be this far along with ED.

That’s probably enough for now. Thanks everyone for your support of one another it’s been helpful to read even before I finally joined and introduced myself.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.
