Hello All, My name is Bill

Postby bedj1009@gmail.com » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:55 am

I am a cancer survivor, my prostate was removed by Davinci Surgery May 17th, 2010. I know that one bundle on the right side was removed and I can't get a real clear answer from my Dr. or my family about the other side. I know that they all attended the Dr.s conference after my surgery. He just said that we would have to wait and see.

I have noticed some nocturnal hardening lately, not enough for penetration but it does feel good to be able to move the little fella a little bit.

I'm going to get in to my experience with Trimix in another post, it hasn't been all good.

I visited Cancun with my Lovely Wife last May, 1 year post op and we were able to have intercourse 4 times, I enjoyed every minute of it. Unfortunatly she felt like that's all I wanted to do and we ended up fighting for the rest of the trip. So sad, it had been way too long and I was happy for the first time in a year. We still haven't got bck to where we were.

I injected last week with a new batch of Trimix and had some difficulty getting the syringe to depress, now I'm afraid that I have scar tissue, it used to go in very easy.

Any Advise

Hi Bill,
You have come to the right place. We are all in the same boat one way or the other.
Can't help with injections,I have an implant. You will hear from other members who are into injections.

What is your post surgery PSA # ?
What was your Gleason # before surgery?
Odd that your URO won't tell you anything.

Hey Bill,

Welcome here. Sorry your to hear about the Cancun thing. With a toy like that can she blame you for wanting to play, Play, PLAY??

Well, maybe she can and did.

About the Trimix inject and the hard push on the plunger. Well it may not be fibrosis, but it is for sure that you did not penetrate thru into the cavernosa. I had a experience like that with just my last injection (and maybe it IS toughing up in my favorite injection spot -- hope it is not fibrosis!).
But I use a slow injection speed .. excrutiatingly slow in fact. That way I can usually feel the slight give when the needle makes it all the way in. Sometimes not though and at those times it is the amount of pressure needed on the syringe plunger that can tell if you hit the mark or not. When I feel too much pressure I stop the inject and snuggle that needle down even more. (not necessary to take out and re-inject -- but you can if you want to try another drill for oil).

So keep on drillin ... hope your wife does not mind some either!

Hi and welcome other Bill...
I have had that same 'blocked plunger' thing happen... when it does, i just try a different spot to poke it, and it flows out smoothly. It does not happen often but i concentrate on full insertion of the needle now.

I have also worked my way down from 8 units of trimix to 4 units, a little at a time. (cutting cost in half :P )

Hope you and wifey can reach an agreement on frequency of sex... just to keep everyone happy.

Bill,

Most of us, I think, can relate to the conversation(s) with your wife that you have described. I've been married since 1969 and I have observed that most problems in most marriages derive from not enough sex or not enouh money. I've also learned that the words we use often make a difference in how effectively we communicate. Hee are a couple of things I recall from many, many conversations with my sweet wife on the subject.

"I don't want to just have sex. I want to have sex with you."
"I want to make love to you because you're beautiful and sexy. You still make my liver quiver every time you enter the room. Isn't that a compliment?"
"A mariage without intimacy is not a marriage. I'm not sure what it is, but it is not a marriage."
"I don't want a roommate. I want a wife."
"How often do I want sex? At least than 3 times a day. Anything less than that is a compromise."
"Don't blame me for being a horn dog. It's a man's very nature. Wanna blame someone? Tell God."
"My need to jump your bones is a strong as your need to nurture our children."

I also have found that have a conversation about sex is often more productive in a setting where immediate sex is not an option. Or at least it would get you arrested. That takes some of the pressure off. I have also found that humor--even a lighthearted tone of voice--can take the edge off and lead to better understanding. All of that is much better than "Are you a lesbian or are you just being a bitch." That never works. Ha ha ha

Good luck.

Wanted to thank everyone that replied to my post, I'm sure I'll find lot's of help on here.

My concern now is the needle, am I doing it right and should I experiment knowing that there will be no sex?

I am so worried that I have a lot of scar tissue keeping the needle from going to the right spot, I did notice that last time I injected and it worked a little that my penis was starting to curve to the right , not bad. It went down before I could make love to my wife, so that was another stone added to my already heavy load.

I guess that I've been blessed with extremly sensitive nipples and there seems to be a direct connection to my man parts, When I couldn't penetrate my wife she rolled me on my back and started sucking and nibbling on my nipples, I went off like a rocket and it felt so good that it actually hurt. I then reciprocated with her and used a vibrator. God I hate that.

I was diagnosed after a Biopsy, 6 samples taken, 3 were cancerous, all on one side, My PSA went from 3.6 to 4.7 in one year. The digital exam indicated that my prostate was enlarged and hard on one side. My Gleason was 3+4=7.

My post PSA was 0.06 after 6 months, My continence is probably 98% after 1 year, I do everything that I did before without pads, if I wear light color blue jeans I see a tiny wet spot after hours on my feet, I'm a DJ in nightclubs and I have to go hours with getting to go pee.

I very fortunate and I'm happy that God and my Dr's have saved my life, I'm hust a little upset that I am not the man that I once was, I was quite the lady's man, I'm still looking and the old feelings are there, I'm just an "IT" now so that's it.

Thank you all again,

Bill

Welcome to FrankTalk Bill and Happy New Year.

I think that the best way for me to provide you with some info about ED is to share the story of my battle with ED.
I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65 and had never experienced any problem prior to that.
Viagra, Cialis, etc. did not work for me.
After much research and having the opportunity to speak with 2 men who underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure, I had my Titan Implant Procedure December 13, 2007.
The Titan Penile Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
I became a Coloplast Patient Educator in January 2008 in order to share my Pre-Implant and Post-Implant experiences with men still suffering from ED and its devastating side effects.
I just celebrated the Fourth Anniversary of my Titan Implant December 13th and my wife and I could not be happier with it.
The FT Group has a bunch of great guys who are always willing to reach out to other men suffering with ED.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to talk.

Bob
