Noob Question

Postby alfa88 » Sat Jul 21, 2018 4:05 pm

Greetings. New guy here. I've always had problems keeping it up. Probably due to anxiety but now in my 60s the issue now seems to be getting it up let alone keeping it up. Tried the 'big 3' pills but only ended up frustrated with a headache and stuffy nose. Got a pump and manage with that but that sure is a mood killer and so fabricated besides the oof and ouch of the bands going on and coming off the cold purple dick. I've got an appointment with a Uro. in about a week after an almost 6 mos wait(healthcare here is pretty basic) and am going to query into the injection route. My question would be what to expect? Will I be serviced, so to speak, right away or wind up coming back for another appointment? What has been experienced by others here?

Not sure were you are from but you probably will be tested some and have to wait for a prescription for injections.

if you are seeing a doctor that specializes in ed they will probably inject you and monitor the erection to determine what dose to start you on. Get a qualified professional that knows what they are doing.

My experience is my uro has prescribed pills when I complained of problems. When they failed he prescribed Trimix and when it came he used that for first and second injections, and then told me to increase by .05 untill I has about 1/2 hour erections. He did not do any tests.

I first saw a urologist after pills prescribed by my family doc stopped working for me.

The uro did an initial exam — no tests — then had me return for a second appointment, where he did my first injection. As I recall, it was about 10 units, which was a bit much. At his suggestion I started out on my own at 7 units.

The uro's logic was that regardless of what venous leak test might show, the next reasonable step would be injections. Made sense to me.

I agree with Gordon. Sounds like the route I went through. After talking with my Uro about the ED problem he recommended going to straight to injections. He said he doesn't recommend pills because of cost and side effects. I've been with him for several years with prostate problems so I trusted him (and still do). Anyway the first injection was by him in his office. He made me wait there to see reaction, which was great. He explained everything I needed to know and things to look for. All went well especially when I got home and showed my wife the outcome of the injection Second visit was two weeks later where I injected myself. The third visit I self injected again, under his guidance and been injecting, at home, for about a year and a half with no problems. Good Luck. Any answers you're looking for can be found on this board.

Here is a different perspective. Do the test for venous leakage. They gave me a penis shot before and it did no good at all. Had an uncomfortable burning for 2 1/2 hours and intense feeling of pressure deep inside and not even a small chubby to show for it. The test showed a 6 leakage on both sides. Translation: I was down for the count. Permanently. Do yourself a huge favor and don't waist your time on shots. Now if you get a really hard one with no side effects, bravo, go for it. But keep in mind that the injections over time can affect your penile implant outcome. Not everyone has this problem. You may do just as well. But within about 2 years you will likely be back in the docs office asking for an implant anyway. When you do, ask him right upfront to stretch your penis and show you about how long you will be . If he says well I don't need to do that you'll be about 1 inch shorter. You can try to persuade him to come out of the dark ages and use the modern implant methods but I doubt that he'll agree. I would contact AMS BS Jamie Matson and ask for a local RN rep. If you use an LGX no matter how hard your surgeon tries to shrink you he will fail in the end. You will end up as long as you always were or possibly even longer. Why? Because the AMS rep will not put u with his BS. She will assemble the LGX implant per manufacturer specs and give him an implant the exact size as the measurement or about 1 MM off. Not the 2 CM he wants. Plus the LGX is the only implant that grows in length after it is in your body. Up to 2 inches longer if you have that much give. Hopefully you will get a better measurement than that and you might grow half an inch or three quarters. At any rate good luck! My surgery is in 13 days. I tried it all and am very very sorry I waited this long

My first experience with injections was with Boston Medical in San Diego. I went there after seeing an ad for ED solutions. I had tried the pills but hated the side effects so thought I would give them a try. I knew nothing about what they did or what I was in for but got my first idea when I walked into the reception room and there hanging over the front desk was about a six foot color picture of an erect penis :o ! I thought "well, I must be in the right office" . After checking in, I was taken into another office and offered a seat. The doctor, male, came in and asked me about my history with ED, then had me lay down after taking my pants off. He pulled, prodded, put some KY or something like that on my dick and took this "thing" and moved it all over my dick. He said he was checking for blood flow. I'm very much a grower so he did not have much to work with. Shortly after that he gave me an injection in the side of my dick and told me that I would be getting an erection in a few minutes. Boy, was he right! Within about 5 minutes I was 5.5" and hard as a rock. He did another scan which I believe is an ultrasound, to see if I had any "leakage", which I did not. At this point he cleaned me off and had me put my pants back on and sit while we talked some more about what he had just done. He then took me to a small room with a chair, some magazines and a box of Kleenex, AND A RAGING HARD ON! I guess I should have known what to do next but I was a little naive and just sat there waiting for "it" to go down. After about 30 min. the doctor came back in to see how I was doing. He had me pull my hard dick out of my pants and felt it for firmness and said it would start to go down shortly and to follow him to another office which turned out to be the sales room. He showed my how to do the injections on a rubber penis and what to expect. I bought a supply of the tri-mix and needles and left.
