Hello from SC

Postby tobor91 » Thu Nov 24, 2011 12:50 am

Hi, Im a 57 year old type 2 diabetic on an insulin pump. Ive been dealing with ED for ten years or so, at first viagra worked fine then was less and less affective, I tried the other pills witch worked for awhile also but now none of them help much. My doctor has said he would approve my getting the implanted pump device, but two things bother me,one is the risk of any operation, as a diabetic, I don’t heal well and also my wife (also diabetic) seems to have lost her sexual interest. So as much as I want the sex life we had for years I don't know if it would be worth it. Thanks,it helps to at least see others with the same problems, maybe I can find a less invasive solution .

Tobor...
you seem to be overlooking one additional step in between Pumps and implants !

I have been injecting trimix in my dick for about a year now, and NEVER (even as a kid) had boners that lasted so long (even after orgasm/ejaculation)

check out the Injection forums here

Hi Tobor and Happy Thanksgiving,
You should definitely check out injecting thoroughly before even thinking about irreversible implant surgery. Implants seem to work great for the guys who have no other options, but once you have it done there's no going back. You mentioned a less invasive method-this is it. I get no response whatsoever from pills (except for a 50% erection one time only), but with a very small dose (.2ml injection of Alprostadil) I get a 100% erection for about an hour and a half.

Things are working naturally now after about a year and a half. No more injections for me.

Tobot, I'm surprised that your doc has not recommended that you try the injections. I know it sounds crazy but once you have it figured out there is nothing to it and man you will think your 17 again. :)

Best of luck. Almost forgot... happy Thanksgiving.

Amen on the injections. As someone on this stie has said, it's like being 19 without the stupid. Give it a shot before you let someone take a sharp knife to your favorite body part. And whatever you decide, don't be discouraged by your wife's seeming lack of interest. Intimacy takes practice--and you can get it back!

Best wishes for hard times.
