Hi People .Dick here from Edmonton Canada. I had my prostate removed almost 20 years ago. Since then I have been injecting with Trimix. At first it worked good. After a couple of years i graduated to a double strength compound. That gradually started to lose effectiveness and I move to a triple strength compound. That has also become mostly innefective. Half wood that doesnt last lond. I should mention I am 74 years old. The pharmacist says it could be a combination of tolerance and age. Anyway, I now have a prescription for Quadmix, which I hope is more effective than the Trimix. Can anyone tell me of their Quadmix experience? Thanks in advance for any info. I think that if this doesn't work, I will have to consider a more radical option
Dick

Re: Trimix to Quadmix
When I was injecting and Trimix became unreliable, the move to Quadmix was great, but only for a short period. With Trimix I was using 50-60 units and barely getting any response. My first Quadmix at 10 units was like the first-time using injections, nice and hard. By the time I did 5-6 injections it was already not working as well. At 40-50 units of Quadmix the effect was ok but the ache the next day got too much to handle. That's when I quit injections.

Re: Trimix to Quadmix
Hey Dick,
I used injections for about 11 years.
QuadMix is basically TriMix with atropine added. It does help, although I wouldn’t say the difference is dramatic. It definitely gave me a little better response.
My compounding pharmacy mixed everything themselves, so they could make whatever strength my doctor prescribed, as long as the medication would stay in suspension. Over the years, my prescription was increased as my ED got worse, until eventually even a large dose of the strongest concentration they could make wasn’t very effective. That’s when I decided to get an implant, and I’ve been really happy with the result.
I’d definitely give QuadMix a try. Hopefully it works well for you.
