Baby socks and frozen peas

Postby I’mJustSayin’ » Thu Mar 12, 2026 6:18 pm

Stocked up on frozen peas, got baby socks, Amazon should deliver David Archy and Sepratec underwear tomorrow. Can we all see where this is going? This is my first post so I thought I would put it in introductions. Future posts may go to Implants or Members Only. I’ve been reading frantalk for a couple of years and been a member for about a year. I’ve pretty much found an answer to all my questions. (Even questions that I never thought of.) I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you so much. I am very fortunate to live just over an hour’s drive from Dr. Tariq Hakky’s office, and had my first consultation with him on 3-2-26. Surgery date is set for 4-14-26. Coloplast Titan, infrapubic. On 3-10 I had tremendous pain from what I believed to be a kidney stone. Passed a stone the same afternoon. Good news: CT scan found no more stones. This was all reported to Hakky’s office, but I haven’t seen him this week. I’m still almost five weeks from surgery, so I’m hoping this won’t delay things. Once again, thank you to all the contributors, and a HUGE thank you to Paul. Franktalk has been and will continue to be an invaluable resource as I navigate the journey forward.

Congrats on taking action. That is fantastic.

The pain/kidney stone shouldn’t be an issue.
Have you already had medicine or cardiac clearance for anesthesia? That is something that most surgeons want (although I’m not sure if that is Dr Hakky’s practice). If not, then there shouldn’t be any issue. If you already got clearance and then had the pain/kidney stone, just check with Dr Hakky’s to make sure they don’t want an updated EKG or set of labs.

Seems like you are well prepared. Ice ice ice and rest rest rest those first few days. If you haven’t take narcotic pain meds post op, take a stool softener tablet as well. Narcotics slow down the GI tract and you don’t want to have to strain.

And follow all of Dr Hakky’s instructions. Particularly if he suggests something different than guys here suggest. Follow your doc, not us.

Let us know how you are doing as you go along. We’ll all be here for you.
