Hello all. I had an AMS 700CX fitted at Trafford Hospital, Manchester UK on 25/11/2025. Operation was done via infrapubic surgery known as the phantom technique were a small incision is made just above the base of the penis.
I stayed in hospital overnight & went home the next day. Pain was manageable but having the drain bottle attached was a bind for a few days due to its cumbersome nature. I took two paracetamol, 500mg, every four hours & this kept the pain to a minimum. Also, I took three anti-biotic tablets daily as prescribed by the hospital. Both meds were for a course of seven days. Implant was left inflated for three days after surgery. The drain was removed on day four & the implant deflated. At this point I had minimal pain & bruising.
After drain was removed & on surgeons advice I pulled the bulb in the scrotum down in a southerly direction each waking hour for five minutes with gentle tugs. This did cause pain which moreover was the tubing moving against the left testicle & we all know how even the slightest knock down there causes us blokes to wince. I wore supportive underwear after leaving the hospital & used frozen peas wrapped in a towel for the first week to ease the scrotal pain.
From day four, after drain was removed, I went walking each day as per surgeons advice & it really helped. One, it got me out of the house & two it got me moving which helped with my recovery physically & psychologically. I walked three to five miles per day depending upon how I felt & the good old English weather.
I attended surgeons office in Manchester seventeen days after my operation. Surgeon inspected the incision area which he said was healing well & performed the first post-op cycle. All went well & he advised me to cycle once each day for five minutes during the next week, then twice daily in week two again for five minutes & eventually once each morning, afternoon & evening for the following two weeks.
The first cycle at home was a bit cumbersome but now at day three I am getting the hang of it.
