Anal stimulation post prostatectomy

There is more to sex than an erect penis. How do you maintain your sexuality both for yourself and for your partner? What techniques do you use to give both of you a great, satisfying sex life? How do you explore your own body and sexuality now that the rules have changed?

Since I have trouble ejaculating I am very interested in anal/prostate massage. Anyone have suggestions on where I might find such a thing. Also, are they dangerous?

May I suggest an index finger, preferably some one else’s, with or without surgical glove. Insert finger in favorite lube, then in anus, and rub back and forth pressing up against prostate. As the fingered party ejaculates, the fingerer feels every contraction of the prostate. Gratifying for both.

Well I don't have a prostate so I can't help you from a perspective of experience.

As to where to find such things, the obvious answer is either a local sex shop or on-line. There are many on-line sex toy retailers. "Adam and Eve" comes to mind (https://www.adameve.com/adult-sex-toys/ ... -1139.aspx). However, like most everything now days the best deals can usually be found on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=desktop_ap ... toys&fap=1).

I don't have any valid advice as to whether or not they're dangerous. There is your age to consider. If you feel comfortable asking your doctor it may be wise to consult him/her. Of course there's the usual caution to use plenty of body safe lube, as in you can't use too much.

From some of your previous posts I understand the general concept is not totally new to you. Has your wife tried the technique as described by calixtus?

As for toys, there's tons of different models of varying quality and design. You will likely have to try more than one model to find what works for you. You will also likely also want to start with a model of smaller maximum girth and later move up to a larger model. The Aneros brand mentioned earlier in this thread appears to be one of the more well known brands. They appear to mainly be manual, non-vibrating designs. (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_hi_eb?r ... e+massager). I have no experience with these products and there are many brands. I've found the Lyps brand to be of good quality but I can't speak to their prostate toys. Also, some of Calexotics products have 1 year warranties and they do fully stand behind those that do. Note that many of their products just have 90 day or less warranties (https://calexotics.com/sex-toys-men/anal-toys-men.html).

Here's something of probably limited value from the Adam and Eve site:

The Truth About 5 Anal Sex Myths

Adam

June 29, 2016
While more people than ever are trying anal sex, it’s still shrouded in myths, rumors and misconceptions. Just look at all the people today who still claim that anal sex can make you gay! When Adam and Eve conducted an informal poll about anal sex, we kept getting some of the same reactions over and over again. So we asked an anal expert to help us separate the anal facts from the myths.

Anal Sex is Messy.
Myth. Contrary to popular belief, the anus itself is surprisingly clean. The body actually stores fecal matter higher up in the intestines beyond the reach of any sex toy or penis. You’ll be fine as long as you make sure to wipe thoroughly after relieving yourself and shower regularly. If you’re still concerned about cleanliness, then you can always use an enema or anal douche beforehand.

Anal Sex is Dangerous.
Mostly Myth. The anus does contain some bacteria and microbes that could be potentially harmful, but only if they’re transferred to the vagina. This is why anal-to-vaginal contact is never a good idea – despite what you might see in some adult movies. As long as you don’t switch back and forth between anal and vaginal penetration, you’ll be perfectly safe.

You Don’t Need to Use Protection During Anal Sex.
Truth and Myth depending on your reasons for using protection. You can’t get pregnant from anal sex. But you can still catch sexually transmitted diseases. It’s actually easier to catch some STDs during anal sex.

Anal Sex Stretches You Out So You Have to Use a Colostomy Bag.
Myth. The more you have anal sex, the easier it becomes. Many people think this is because their sphincter muscles are getting stretched out. In reality, it’s a combination of your muscles becoming more flexible and you becoming more comfortable with engaging in anal sex.

Only Gay Men or Virgins Enjoy Anal Sex.
Myth. Absolutely anyone can enjoy anal sex – whether they’re straight or gay, male or female. Men are just more likely to enjoy anal sex than women because of their prostate. The prostate, known as the male G-Spot for its ability to strengthen male orgasms, requires some form of anal penetration for direct stimulation. This is one of the reasons why more and more straight men are experimenting with anal toys and even role reversal or pegging.

Of course I don't think a sex shop site is the premier place to go for advice.

I'm sorry I can't recommend any specific product or toy or even attest to the safety of the practice, especially considering your age.
I don't feel qualified to answer your question but as there hadn't really been much other attempt and as it's raining outside, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Performance anxiety is the most common cause of losing or not getting an erection. It is the result of being in your head worrying about whether or not you will get hard or stay hard. Once you start to do that you get caught in a "fear of failure" cycle which keeps reinforcing itself. How to deal with this problem is explained in simple terms in a small inexpensive book on premature ejaculation.

There are a lot of high-priced programs advertised online but all you need is this little book written by a doctor and sex therapist that has been used successfully for more than 32 years. You can resolve the problem without medication.

It is called "Lasting Longer: The Treatment Program for Premature Ejaculation" by Dr. Sy Silverberg M.D. For more information just enter the doctor’s name in any search engine: Dr. Sy Silverberg M.D.
