internal vs. external prostate stimulation

There is more to sex than an erect penis. How do you maintain your sexuality both for yourself and for your partner? What techniques do you use to give both of you a great, satisfying sex life? How do you explore your own body and sexuality now that the rules have changed?

internal vs. external prostate stimulation

Postby PSSDorAmINormal » Sun Mar 12, 2023 10:46 pm

When I was in my mid to late twenties I discovered that some prostate stimulation was helpful when I wanted to intensify and get to orgasm faster. For me what seems to work best is just externally rubbing the prostate off and on and especially as I approach orgasm. It feels really intense toward the end like this. I also notice it increases the engorgement of my penis a slight amount. I think this slight increase makes the feelings more intense on the penis.

I have often wondered why I can't seem to enjoy internal stimulation or find pleasure in it the same way I do the external way. What would cause this? I always thought access to the prostate was best done internally. I've tried various devices over the years and nothing seems to hit the spot. Everything from vibrating, shocking and also manual. I might try Aneros or HIH again.

Admittedly I feel a little strange that my body responds this way to prostate stimulation. However there are times when penile stimulation feels like it is not quite enough. I honestly don't know if this is normal or if I have some serious nerve damage that is desensitizing my penis? I don't think I use a "death grip" at all, and I pretty much always use lubes. I feel like I have found a way to cheat or bypass my penis to get myself to orgasm. Is this something I need to figure out how to discuss with a doctor or is this a bit too explicit for a medical professional? Back when I was 12 or 13 I had a straddle injury, but I always wondered if there was nerve damage coupled with any existing damage from circumcision. It seems like an unusual case of ED. I still get erections but the sensitivity seems less.
SWM/never married. 40 years and not experienced. Injuries/trauma at young age due to lack of guidance and good sex ed. Low libido, loss of sensitivity/numbness. Possible PD and probable PSSD. No tests or doppler. Offered tadalafil, clomid and sildenafil

Internal prostate stimulation, at least for me drives me to explosive orgasms that far surpass those from fucking, a blow job or masturbating. I have had mind bending orgasms from digital manipulation, and never touched my dick. It feels like no other sexual act, at least for me. I have vibrating or rotating insertables which I sometimes use when masturbating. They are effective, but for some reason a finger does it best for me. External pressure or massage on the perinium, while pleasurable, does very little for me.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I still vividly remember masturbating as a teenager one day and as I was about to come I pressed hard with a finger on my perinium. I don't know why I did this, it was just a lucky random move I guess, but I had the most intense, mind blowing orgasm I had ever experienced.

I appreciate your comment, but still wondering why one way works better than another. Both targeting the same area, yet it would seem our prostates are like one sided. You like side on the inside, and I seem to like the outer side? Why wouldn't we have equal sensations on all surfaces of the prostate?

Yes it can make for a real intense squirt. But nobody teaches this or talks about it. In sex ed nobody ever said anything about the perineum. So is this like cheating or rushing to orgasm?

In my day, Sex Ed did not exist and for many years after, there was absolutely no reference to the pleasure aspects of sex, but only procreation and STDs. I suppose, depending on what school district, the curriculum will vary widely.

All I can tell you is that I enjoy having my perinium pressed on, sucked on and stroked, that activity even using a vibrator just doesn't provide enough stimulation directly to my prostate to intensify my orgasm. I think in my case, there is too much tissue isolating my gland, which isn't true in your case.

A person's skin is loaded with nerve endings which vary in density all over the body and even varies from person to person. Also, psychological aspects of stimulation (especially location on the body and context of the contact) will make a difference to how you feel about the activity.

My girlfriend loves to have her back scratched. I don't. I like a light, feather touch. By the same token one man might like a heavy touch on his perineum and another, a light touch. Some men might respond to pressure on the prostate from the inside and another might like stroking better. Also, one can "teach" one's nerve endings to like being stimulated in certain manners (that is, by repeated stimulation in a good context, a pseudo-pavlovian response of pleasure can be developed).

As for me, my perineum and scrotum have become more responsive/pleasurable over time as my currend girlfriend enjoys stroking me there (more than previous lovers have, so has generated a more intense response from me as she has done it over the past couple of years). My GF and I are experimenting with prostate massage to induce a "P-gasm" for me. I think we succeeded once and I look forward to more experimentation. But the P-gasm has proved elusive so far. I have done this with women to induce a G-spot orgasm, which for some women must be "learned" and for many is elusive as well. Technigue of the touch (stroking, pressure, speed, etc) must be practiced diligently.

So, to answer your question "what would cause this" (difference in pleasure); all the details and peripheral psychological, physical and emotional factors will make differences. The good news is that many of the factors that affect your response can be influenced or changed by practice (on the part of your lover and on the part of yourself, too).
