I DO believe grieving is completely normal. Mine was not caused by surgery but by my Multoiple Sclerosis. It is a life changing event. There can be many life changing events... that forever divide our lives into before and after. We grieve the life we had, the future we had planned. Perhaps sexual disfunction is less of an issue to me because the other functions I have had damaged are more important.
But we all need love, crave intimacy... at those times, we miss the carefree functionality we once had.
