I got one last hoorah 2 nights before surgery but I've been following orders to abstain for 6 weeks. At week 5 it seems like 5 months. For sure I'm going to go slow with my rebuild. After pregnancy and breastfeeding, women often lose their libido and it can take a year to return, at which point they often find they need to relearn how to enjoy sex again.

I appreciate the thought but she's well past those stages. I got her to book an appt. and see about getting her post menopause 'levels' checked. I guess she thought she could beat the system by just taking vitamins.
6 hours to my activation... But who's counting :D

If you both haven't had sex in awhile, you may find that it takes awhile for the responsive desire cycle to kick in and for her libido to improve. She may require things to go very slow at first, slow massages and no pressure. Then, as the responsive desire cycle kicks in she will find it easier to get into the mood.

I'm envious.

Back when I was contemplating an implant, my internist told me that it is quite common for couples who have been asexual for a long time never to get it back. He was right, but I had additional complicating factors.
Dave, 78, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

It's not just women. I had to relearn how to properly use my penis in a woman. But not because of libido loss. Just confidence loss. I imagine I am not alone in this. After years of abortive attempts at coitus I had to teach myself to not wonder, "How soon will this erection collapse?" and also to restore the muscle memory for entry and thrusting.

In other words, I was a fumbling teenage virgin again.
