Re: Tests Before Surgery
Kramer will refer you to your PCP for pre-op examination. In my case he didn't do any additional testing himself - he said if the cause is venous leak, for example, the solution is the implant so there's no point in testing for it. He did confer with my PCP - I had a long history of ED: pills had st...

He's great. My experience with him was excellent, and many others here report the same thing.

Re: total cost of procedure plus a few questions
Dr Kramer in Baltimore, MD. $17500 in 2008 - I read somewhere here that it's now $20000. Kramer, Karpman, Eid, Perito, Garber, Milam are among the best - I'm sure you can get a price quote from them by telephone.

Re: Getting close to surgery date
Dr Kramer did my implant in 2008 and it was altogether a good experience. After the first day I only needed Tylenol and ice packs for discomfort, and that was gone within a few days. Riding home the morning after surgery was uncomfortable, but not unbearable - but there is no way I could have done t...

Re: Edex Injections
Everyone is indeed different. Edex never worked for me at all, in any dose. No luck with other injectables, either, so I got an implant.

Re: AMS Spectra Malleable Implant Experiences
How rods could be inserted into the corpora spongiosum and then removed without causing damage is beyond me. Please have a consultation with somebody who knows what he's talking about. It seems to me that if you proceed with your plan you'll have a failed first procedure and then have no choice but ...

Re: AMS Spectra Malleable Implant Experiences
I'd get a second and or third opinion from high volume implant surgeons before going through with surgery. +1. What you've been told doesn't sound right to me. Why not get a second opinion from an experienced, well regarded surgeon before you go ahead with this? You have nothing to lose and everyth...
