Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to call Titan's customer service and get their opinion.

Re: graphic: your tips extend into glans?
No, the tip of the cylinders do NOT extend my glans. The result is floppy head and the inability to push into my wife (who is rather small) for intercourse. I'm having revision surgery on December 22. The doctor will hollow out my head somewhat in a procedure called corporoplasty.

Update...Corporoplasty?
Saw my urologist yesterday (Dec 1, 2011) about my floppy head problem. He said he would do the revision surgery but it's not that the cylinders are too short per se. Rather, they can't push into my glans. He'll do what's called corporoplasty to literally hollow out my glans somewhat so the cylinders...

Re: I don't know what device the surgeon implanted...
I recommend contacting the hospital or surgery center where your procedure was performed and requesting a copy of your operative report. I believe the HIPAA law gives you access to ALL of your medical records. The notion that the physician doesn't know which device he implant seems ridiculous to me....

Re: Implant Cost without Insurance Coverage
I posted this message at another web site but some of the points are quite relevant here: I recently saw a Clark Howard program in which he said when paying for health care out of pocket an individual should, whenever possible, negotiate with the doctor and hospital ahead of time. Mr. Howard suggest...

Re: Double-Handed Inflation
I started using two hands in the beginning because the pump was so hard and have just stayed with it. A couple of times I tried the one handed approach but toward the end the pump has slipped out, causing me some pain. Two hands works for me. I'm not doing anything with the other hand anyway... Re: New to the Group; Implant Disappointment
Bad news, somewhat good news and more bad news. Bad news: The doctor I saw today (Sept 12, for the second opinion) was absolutely clear that I "need a bigger implant" and will have to have a redo. Good news: In his experience my health care provider pays for redos. More bad news: He added ...

Re: Titan OTR Premature Failure
Edinga, I'm very sorry to hear about the equipment failure. If you spoke to "Travis" over at Coloplast and he told you that premature failure with the OTR is unheard of, he's not telling you the truth. My urologist implanted me with a Coloplast Titan, but not the OTR because he had two pri...

Re: New to the Group; Implant Disappointment
Jerry, I finally finished reading your "journey." You've had a rough go of it. And your doctor was Douglas Milam, who's considered one of the best in the field. I do have YahooIM but seldom turn it on. I'm not sure I even know how to use it anymore. Perhaps we can chat on Saturday via Yaho...
