Re: Anyone here with an implant from the UK? Curious about your experience with the NHS
You asked about my experience with Mr Summerton. When I was implanted he would not use the AMS LGX only the CX. However, the end result was an implant which has the tips when inflated perfectly placed in the glans and the pump sitting behind and partly below the testes making activation easy. Cosmet...

Re: Caverject 40 versus 20 shelf life
I used Caverject 40mcg for several years. My understanding is that uncontituted the dry powder will last for more than a year in the fridge. Once mixed with the supplied bacteristatic water it is certainly OK for at least a week in the fridge or much longer if frozen either in the vial or in a syrin...

Re: My favorite part of using trimix...
Not true - at least in UK. CAVERJECT is available in 40 mcg ( dry powder in vial with sterile water to reconstitute ). I was prescribed this (NHS) for several years because I needed 24 to 26 mcg for a good erection. VIRIDAL (EDEX) 40 mcg sometimes prescribed when CAVERJECT not available. INVICORP al...

Re: Anyone here with an implant from the UK? Curious about your experience with the NHS
I am much older than you. I was 75 when implanted almost 3 years ago. Please read my posts which will answer many of your questions. Waits may be longer now due to Covid but my timescales were not unreasonable. I had been through pills and then injections before seeking an implant. NHS were great - ...
Re: Men who had drainage tubes put in
I had a drainage tube for 48 hours after surgery. I was lucky in that I had no significant pain, swelling of the scrotum or bruising and a quick recovery. Judging by the volume collected in the drainage bottle I think I would have been very swollen if that fluid had been retained until naturally abs...

Re: It's happening! I'm going to be joining the ranks
Hi Biker21 There is Is an alternative to Caverject called Invicorp which does not contain Aprostadil. It was offered to me at Northampton Urology when Caverject had become less effective. However, I had decided that I wanted an implant and was then referred to Mr Summerton at Leicester who carried o...

Re: Vacuum pump crush my balls
I suspect that I have the same electric pump. Unless you have much above average penis girth the problem is that the diameter of the pump cylinder opening is too large. The cylinder on mine is 2.35 inches diameter (7.47.inches girth). I found that I had a cylinder from a manual pump which fitted the ...

Re: Advice from anyone in the UK
Lots of bad press about the NHS. Obviously the Covid crisis must be leading to delays but this will not last forever. Please read my posts about my experience with the NHS 2 years ago. There are centers of excellence inside the NHS carrying out implants throughout the country - I was referred to Lei...

Re: NHS questions from a 40 year old guy in the first year of his ED journey
I was implanted using the NHS almost 3 years ago after tablets and PGE1 (Caverject) became less effective. The NHS policy is here https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Penile-prostheses-for-end-stage-erectile-dysfunction.pdf&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjp4dXz...
Re: NHS
Perhaps I was lucky. After pills stopped working I was referred to Northampton hospital Urology and prescribed CAVERJECT. When this became less effective after about 4 years the Urology Consultant at Northampton referred me to Mr Summerton a surgeon at Leicester General Hospital. He examined me and ...
