Re: Reflections 18 months post-Implant
Hope that helps. Hit me up any time with questions. Sorry to hear about the failure, I dread that day myself. Here's a few questions if you don't mind: 1. What exactly failed, pump, tubing, cylinder? 2. Did Dr Eid have any theories as to why it failed or any advice on how to prevent failures? 3. Ho...

Re: Thinking about titan... again…
IIRC, both the Titan and AMS have a fixed non-inflatable rear tip that is 5cm or 5.5cm, and is before any RTE's that might be necessary. So yes, only about 13 cm of an 18 cm implant is inflatable with either brand. I recall reading here somewhere, maybe @Merrix, that the LGX is measured by the lengt...

Re: Dr. Kramer no longer with Chesapeake Urology
It's hard to divine what Dr Kramer's intentions were, but he must have known that taking an outside gig would be a problem for the urology group. I bet it violated whatever contract he had with the group, but probably paid very well for his expert testimony. I would expect to see him with his own pr...

Re: Made the decision...seeing Eid
Does he require a Covid test 2 days prior? Like most surgeries today. Good question, I have no idea, but he should check on that for sure with doctor's office. A friend of mine just had minor surgery, he had the COVID test, then was quarantined at home alone for 10 days before checking in for surge...

Re: Made the decision...seeing Eid
Have you considered doing a telephone (or video) consultation with Dr Eid? He can answer all your questions and more. Consultation fee was $300 IIRC, and was well worth it. Kramer offered a similar telephone consult and I think it was free of charge. I recommend doing both, and maybe another consult...

Re: Surgery with Dr.Eid coming up in Sept..logistics
I can add a few details from my experience with Dr Eid. I would recommend the Bentley Hotel if available, 10 minute walk to Dr's office and convenient location for meals and food shopping. Both of you will need a "medical escort" to meet you post-surgery and accompany you in a taxi back to...

Re: One cylinder longer then the other
Your surgeon was Dr Eid, right? I would check with him first about what your options are. I know he can fit different length cylinders on each side, I was fitted with 20/21cm during initial surgery, not sure why but he felt it was necessary. If you search posts by member "Xomanow", also a ...

What Dave said.
Also, Dr Eid won't confirm a surgery date until your lab tests and cardiac clearance are submitted and approved.

Re: COLOPLAST ONE TOUCH LIFESPAN POLL
Do you have a link to the "One Touch" model you are asking about? I can't find anything by that name from Coloplast. There's a Titan OTR and a Titan Touch, but what is a "One Touch"? It's important to be clear when asking about long term experience with a specific model. The OTR ...
