Re: Pump Technique
I’ve tried various ways since my implant 6 months ago, but find that the technique that oldbeek uses works best for me. Usually 20 to25 light squeezes as my pump is still pretty hard to squeeze. Hopefully it will get easier over time. Happy New Year, Bailey

Re: Journey begins I’m implanted. Best icing methods?
Jack317, I liked using bags of frozen peas. I put it in a hand towel to prevent frostbite, while keeping a 2nd bag in the freezer. Rotating the 2 bags for several days. The bags I bought were large enough to cover both my sack & shaft. On 20 minutes & off 20 minutes. Ice was my best friend f...

Re: Implant Insurance Question
SteveSW, I have traditional Medicare, & United Heath Care plan “F” endorsed by AARP. I never paid anything out of pocket for my implant. It may not be the cheapest health insurance you can buy, but I personally don’t feel you can put a price on your healthcare coverage. Just my opinion & rea...

Re: Going Through Surgery Alone
CPM1994, Sorry your doing this alone, but that week in the hotel would make your 4 hour ride a lot easier. I had mine done 6/18/19, & all went well. I highly advise using ice throughout the day. The first week I also took the hydrocodone. I then went to Tylenol extra strength after that. By stay...

Re: Coloplast or AMS?
I can only speak form my experience, but after considerable research, I went with the AMS LGX. My surgeon would implant either one, and even suggested the Coloplast. After about 1 year of extensive research, I liked the feel of the flaccid AMS, and the antibiotic coating on all 3 pieces. I’m current...

Inflate & Deflate after implant?
My surgeon recommended after starting the inflate/deflate twice a day. To do this for 6 months, & leave inflated for 30 minutes at a time.Anyone else given this advice? I even called the AMS Liaison,& she also said that was what they recommended to.Thanks, Bailey
