Are you using a lot of ice? That really helps. I had a lot of swelling and discomfort. Ice helped manage a lot of that. After a week or so I started alternating between I've and heat. The heat felt great. Used a heating pad. Seemed to heal me be more comfortable. Might give it a try.

cant say about pilots, but I've made many trips from Ky to Fl and back, both flying and driving. Driving is a 13 to 15 he trip and I've had no issues at all with my implant sitting that amount of time. maybe right after the operation there could be some issues as in discomfort.
