battery powered pumps....
......following a radical prostatectomy I used a (cheap Hustler store) pump for a couple of years. As I had had "corporeal tissue removed" in the surgery, the pump had little effect. I now have an implant - 5 months. All is well (actually wonderful) with erections and sex but I still often...

Re: A trick to inflating the device
mine is a Titan, as was my first implant. They do get easier to squeeze with time. I mostly do the inflate bulb and the release valves with my right hand but do try to alternate to using my left hand. Inflating with my left hand is easy but deflating is more difficult with my left hand on the valves.

Re: How much did your implant cost?
For a man who has had a radical prostatectomy, I think the insurance company looks at it similar to breast reconstruction for a woman who has had a mastectomy. It restores you to a "quality of life" similar to before the RPP. Humana approved the first procedure quickly, the second procedur...

Insurance also covered most of mine. I was "out of pocket" and $2,000 the first implant and about $4,000 the second.....

Re: 5 months post-op second implant
They do make many different sizes of Titans - my second doctor gave me the proper size while my first doctor simply put in the biggest one - not the appropriate one!

5 months post-op second implant
Implanted with Coloplast Titan April 24, 2013 and a new Titan April 25, 2014 Five months after having my botched implant replaced by Dr. Paul Perito in Miami, my situation is: Implant is convenient and easy to operate, both inflating, deflating and in use. Occasional minor discomfort when the flacci...

Re: Anyone here with small penis + implant?
I had about a 6" penis before a radical prostatectomy. For the next 2.5 years, my penis was small and limp. As "corporeal tissue" was involved in my prostatectomy (the cancer was on the outside of the prostate and extra tissue was removed "to the margins") my 2 urologists bo...

Re: After implant penis gets extremely cold
I had been worried about my "heat sink" as my vacation approached this year. We annually take our grandchildren "tubing" on the Chattahoochie in the north Georgia mountains. We skipped this vacation last year as I was still in too much pain from my "botched" first impla...

Re: Post Op so far
I had trouble peeing the entire time I had my first implant. If standing (at a urinal) I had to stand partly sideways to hit the urinal. If seated, I had to push down on my penis or I would pee right through the space between the seat and the toilet and right onto my leg and sometimes onto my underp...
