I had another blood test on 5/23 and the creatinine had gone up to 1.98. That still kept me in stage 3b, but I was disappointed. I still had swelling at the urethra and trouble peeing. I base that hope on the blood test I got in the hospital the day after surgery. The creatinine level came down quite a bit. I'll have to check to see the actual percentage. That's what is giving me hope today. I'll give the answer, good or bad tomorrow.

I had another blood draw today. Tomorrow is the make or break test. I'll be devastated if the GFR isn't more improved. That will show that I really have bad kidney disease.

I'm surprised at the amount of clotted blood that's involved. I had a tough night, but today, I don't have clots, but do pass blood with every eliminaton.

I got the catheter out this morning and now I'm drinking lots of water, and hoping to pee.
