Re: How does one choose which implant to select
HI, just thought i would add my .02 after investigating this. Generally speaking, the coloplast is a little more rigid when erect and more rigid when flacid. The AMX is more relaxed flacid state and slightly less in hardness in erect state. But if you read various people's experience with each, some...

Re: Does anyone have an ICD (difilibrator) ?
I am happy to answer this one. Yes I have had an ICD for 3 years. It was due to lose of electrical conductive system from an inflammatory disease. The ICD IMO is nothing to be concerned about . The underlying disease process is what you have to stay on top of with regular pacemaker checks and echoca...

Re: scarring from long term injections and its effect on implant
I thought I would update this for anyone who has concerns about penile scarring from injections. I saw Dr Eid last week. Seemed like a good guy, the office was organized and I got right in to see him. He agreed I had scarring but not as bad as some of his patients. The ultra sound showed fibrosis bu...

Re: I am 63 Panhead
thanks Boulder. I ride motorcycles too. Having the pump behind the scrotum sounds like a big help.
Would be nice to know who treated you well and who didn't after their surgeries failed. I understand your reluctance to mention them......

Re: Shape metal alloy implant
This device and technology looks promising. If successful, it should be a viable alternative in the future. The issues of MRI, TSA are good questions. I already have a pacemaker so not being able to do MRI's as one gets older, is a real issue. That said, can people with artificial knees etc have an ...

Re: I am 63 Panhead
I am really glad I read your post. You have had 4 procedures by 4 different docs and have had both devices. A rare view of the docs, devices etc. Very Valuable information, thank you and glad you were successful . I also liked your comments on women, especially over 50. I think you are dead nuts on....

Re: Penile Implant surgery: Infrapubic or scrotal?
I have the same question. I believe Kramer does infrapubic and Eid does scrotal with a vertical incision. There seems to be pros and cons to each one. Anyone else who can add to this, please post!!!
Re: Day Three
Ableman, great post. I have a similar problem with tri mix scarring in the middle shaft. Eid mentioned during phone call that he might have to implant a malleable rod and then remove it and implant the inflatable cylinders. That is not an option for me. How did you handle it with Dr Eid? i.e. if one...

Re: Curious. What eventually wears out?
thats funny about your partner wearing out. After injecting for 20 years, and lifting weights/ cardio workouts, my girlfriend said I was killing her. I didn't believe her because she was younger than me but over 50. After a while I realized she wasn't up for hours of me pounding her. I hav...

Re: scarring from long term injections and its effect on implant
thanks for the comments. This board is excellent. When I talked to Dr Eid he did not recommend the narrower implants due to lack of axial rigidity. ( floppy penis) I need that like a hole in the head. I watched a number of Kramer's videos and I noted that he said in one of them sometimes he encounte...
