Re: out of pocket cost?

MY wonderful insurance denied coverage on an implant. Has anyone paid out of pocket in USA to one of the experienced Docs that do mostly or all implants? Whats that Docs name in Chicago that all he does is implants? I read on here about him, anyone been there/know what he charges for cash patients?...

Re: How to Clean the Incision Area (Penoscrotal)

Yes you will get wet in a shower. My discharge instructions were no direct water in the shower. I was also instructed to apply a thin film of Bacitracin ointment on the incision. I would put a bit on the incision before a shower to prevent germs from getting in. I used dial gold antibacterial soap a...

Re: Cylinder tips significantly uneven

RTE's are in .5 cm increments and that is why most doctors say they will get the cylinders withing .5 cm of each other. The cylinders do expand a bit. The Titan just not as much as the LGX and I have seen no data on the CX or Rigicon. So with cycling and cylinder softening they may even out unless t...

Tips.jpg My tips were like above if you looked at the glans with the glans pointing at you. I did have a proximal perforation and leaned very hard to the left where I was straight before surgery. 100_1009.JPG I had pain and trouble moving my penis to straight or to my right. After my sling repair I...

Re: Pay for inspection pre-implant?

My understanding is that the device rep is in the OR with the devices (has the different sized devices and maybe different models). The doctor in many cases does prep the device and check it for correct function prior to place the implant. All this is observed by the trained device rep.

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..

You can continue to look at small batch studies that are by the size skewed. You can keep ignoring the larger studies and the information published by the really good doctors. I cannot change the process you are committed to. All I can do is provide information to others that show larger studies tha...

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..

When I had a mechanical failure at 3 years, I started paying attention to the time of failures reported on this site. I understand that folks with no issues may tend to stay quiet while folks with failures complain. Of those who complained, I noted very few failure complaints in the “expected” 10 y...

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..

This is interesting. Sounds like the 10 year expectation of an implant lasting is nothing more than a pipe dream. It makes sense, still haven’t seen anyone on this site post with an implant 10 years older or more. Guess you need to read back farther. As I remember a guy with over 20 years on the ol...
