Re: New implant

Are you sure it's totally deflated? Soon after surgery, my fully deflated state was not completely flaccid, but it didn't stick out enough to be painful or embarrassing. I did get some David Archy 2-pouch underwear that would help bend the penis down a little and keep it under control, but they also...

Re: Group of questions from someone weighing implant decision

I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for your question about the extender. I used one for a couple months, but I don't have PD or anything. I know some guys here that have PD have tried them. Perhaps one of them will see your question. To me, it seemed that the traction/extender devices need more t...

Re: implant failure

I have an AMS 700 LGX. I have found it doing the same thing several times, but it was always a problem with the valve. I guess it sometimes gets trapped into an "in between" state. As you said, I could push the bulb flat, but it would not refill. My solution has been to very firmly press t...

Re: Infrapubic Approach

I went to Karpman in the Bay area for infrapubic. Liked him a lot and would make the same trip if I had it to do over again. Very satisfied. I know it's a hike from PS, but even more for me. I live in Boise.

Grats, Philly! Glad it has worked so well for you. I'm at 3.5 and like you and the others wish I'd done it sooner.

Re: Pre-op implant surgery shaving

My surgeon told me not to shave within a week before surgery. I think he was concerned that I might leave an open wound that could be infected. He didn't ask me to shave, just not to shave too close before the operation. I tend to like being shaved, so my pubes were short, but I didn't shave during ...

Re: Can you use a sauna with an implant? Anything you can’t do physically?

In regard to your question, post-implant sensation for me is perfect. It takes just a little longer for me to climax, which in my case is probably a benefit, but it feels "right" all the way. Happy to answer questions about anything. I think "heavy" exercise would be just fine fo...

Re: Connection with Implant & Sexuality

I agree with what the others have posted. Knowing you can be erect whenever you want removes pressure from your brain about whether you can perform. You always can. Whether you find it enjoyable or not is something only you will be able to determine. I can't tell the difference in feeling between us...

Re: Can you use a sauna with an implant? Anything you can’t do physically?

I use the sauna and exercise like normal. It took a little longer to be comfortable riding a bike, but not too long. I was playing racquetball at about 4-5 weeks after surgery and doing light weight lifting. There is nothing I have found that I can't do now and could do before the implant. I've had ...

Re: Cycling Pain

For me, the pain with cycling was brief, but I know all men and surgeries are different. I still find that it's easier with heat. I actually bought a hot tub about 2 weeks after surgery and it was very helpful early on. My wife and I still use the hot tub a lot and I still usually inflate when I'm i...
