Re: When to tell new Girlfriend
I would tell your new GF soon and not wait. That is what I did. I was married for 37 years before my died. My wife stood by me with my ED (due to RP and radiation treatment). Once I started dating again, I decided to be up front about it and that worked well for me. My present GF for the past two ye...

Re: The "Frightened Turtle" syndrome . . .
I've experienced this 'turtle' effect (an accurately named description) after having an RP in 2005. It has not improved after years of pumping or Edex use. From my experience it is a permanent result of my battle with cancer.

Re: Does Injections stop working after a while ?
I have been using Edex (Caverject) for about two years. Most of the time it is very effective. Every once in a while I guess I miss the mark while injecting and frustrating it results in no useable erection. I use it about once a week and alternate the use of a VED. I am wondering as well if over ti...

When I inject, I inject as close to the base as I can get or at least very close. I also alternate sides (i.e. left to right). That is what my uro advised.

Re: REM sleep hard-on
I had an RP and radiation therapy in 2005 and get no erection unless I use injections or a pump. I occassionally get a night time erection, but am not able to keep it long enough to have sex. I call them 'teaser' boners. They tease me to believe I've got a usable erection, but I in fact do not.

Do you know what percentage of men lose some length after an RP? The majority?
Those are good questions; to which I would add how much length is lost?

Re: Caverject AND MUSE?
I have the same injection experience as Dave and you. I have never tried MUSE, but I'll have to say that I would like to get an engorged glans at the same time that my shaft is rigid from Edex. Now that would be especially enjoyable!

Re: Am I a "Candy Ass?"
Just to confirm what others have said. There is no value in a topical numbing product. You just need to gain some experience with inserting the tiny needle. Once you do it a few times, it becomes no big deal. Yes, we were all candy asses as the beginning.

Re: Regarding long-term efficacy of injection chemicals
Eugene, Just a point of clarification: Edex and Caverject are just names of the Patented systems for delivering plain old Alprostadil (PGE-1). Everyone refers to the ingredient as Edex or Caverject and that is OK, but it is not anything like the three Trimix ingredients -- just plain old PGE-1. (al...

Re: Always wear your glasses when injecting.
Yes, I have learned that I must wear my glasses when injecting and even when using my pump. Bad things can happen if one cannot see what they are doing to themselves.
