Pain seems to be the proverbial piece of string, Everybody has a different experience. I was 3 weeks chronic pain, popping opiates like candy then over 3-4 days it subsided. 6 weeks now. Welcome to the club Bob.

I had a lot of pain in my scrotum, it subsided slowly over the third week and now at week 5-6 I just get the odd twinge. At 10 months out the only "twinge" I get is when I jam my cock into Miss H hard during doggy-style.......which now is most nights of the week.....because she loves it ....

I picked up a urinary infection and puss coming from the wound site-hot and cold sweats, I was re-admitted a week after the initial surgery for a couple of days and given a two week course of antibiotics.
No signs of infection from week 2.
