Re: When traveling for surgery, how many trips are required?

I'm on the west coast, say I want to have Dr. Eid do my surgery. How many trips to NY would be required? Plan for one trip, 5-6 nights in total. I'm on the west coast too and my trip went like this: LAX=>EWR stay at Bentley Hotel by Eid's office. Tue: Arrival & check in Wed: Pre-Op Consult Thur...

Re: (Waynetho) Dr Morey's verdict: Implant is fine - no issue he sees

Just thinking out loud so don't laugh, but could you conduct a sneeze test with the IPP in both inflated and deflated states? When inflated the tips should be pushed more securely into the crus and you might not experience the same pain when sneezing. Have all your other sneeze/pain experiences been...

Re: Cycling- When (esp. if you are working) and how long?

Did Dr. Eid give a reason why the cycling go early? I am wondering what the difference is between waiting a couple weeks, vs a couple days. There is this excerpt from Dr Eid's post-op protocol: During the first three months after the surgery the cylinders must be kept fully deflated in order to mai...

Re: Cardiac Clearance - One step closer

The only way to know Dr Eid's surgery schedule is to call his office and ask. The lead time depends on lots of factors like time of year, vacation schedules, etc. You don't need the cardiac clearance to schedule a surgery date, but it's not a confirmed date until the clearance is approved and all th...

Re: Deflate issues

The fluid retention issue is completely normal and is often assumed to be "auto-inflation" of the implant which it is not. It totally resolves over time, weeks not days. On the deflation issue, here's what I found. It was day 4 and I was 3000 miles from Dr Eid. I sat in a hot bath and felt...

Re: Titan Flaccid vs Erect

Your post-op erect length should be very close to your pre-op injection measurement. That's one reason why Dr Eid does the pre-op stretch and injection measurements, so both doctor and patient can see the expected post-op length. It's too soon yet to be concerned about length, need time to recover f...

Re: Titan touch

How hard is it to locate the deflate button after surgery. Not hard, I started cycling on day 4 like you will. Practice a few times with the sample pump draped in a thin & wet wash cloth so you can feel the button with the little nipple on it. The way my pump is oriented I pump with the right a...

Re: What if I am oversized?

And then, if I am really oversized, what is the solution? You could ask about imaging of your pelvic area, ultrasound, or CT scan, or MRI. That might show in detail how the implant is fitting in your body and might show the cylinder folds if you were oversized. Imaging is non-invasive and relativel...
