I keep my trimix vial frozen. Thaw it about once a week to fill 3 or 4 syringes to get me through that week. The most recent vial lasted six months and went through 22 freeze/thaw cycles. No loss in potency.

I would say it's never too late. IMO, the medication isn't like a foodstuff, where there are legitimate concerns about thawing/refreezing.
