Re: ED due to enlarged prostate
Pete, After years of living with an enlarged prostate and what I considered tolerable resulting symptoms (needing to pee all the time, some urge incontinence), I started having frequent UTIs, and the urologist diagnosed that even after peeing I had a full bladder. The "residual" urine was ...

Re: Lack of Feeling
Bob, I'm 5+ years post brachytherapy. I became convinced that sensation was less intense within a year or two of treatment. It hasn't gotten better, but it hasn't gotten worse. My doc says that any radiation damage would have been to erections, not sensations. Cialis works, but hasn't helped with se...

Re: Introduction and hello
Hi Micky, I had brachytherapy 6 years ago when I was 55. Used Viagra initially for rehabilitation in order to avoid deterioration and shinking. Now need it to maintain an erection. Switchet to Cialis. Never had problems with Viagra but prefer Cialis since it last longer. I have the impression that b...

Re: Hi from Sydney Australia
Hi RigPig, Congratulations on how things are going so far in terms of continence, preserving the nerve bundles, etc. When you see your doctor in a couple of days I would push him to go through all of the advantages and any disadvantages of starting on penile rehabilitation by means of Cialis (my pre...

Re: Hello From Bob
Bob, Hi Bob, I had brachytherapy without the EBRT 5 years ago. Now 60. I have similar problems in terms of needing one of the pills but also problems reaching ejaculation and I'm convinced with reduced sensitivity and pleasure. The amount of ejaculate bottomed out after a couple of years but some cl...

Re: Hi
Guys, Thanks for your replies. Interesting about the ED drugs themselves possibly contributing to the ejaculatory delay. I guess I haven't learned yet to read to the bottom of the long sheets that the drug companies have to publish showing potential side effects. Any thoughts on what ED drugs might ...

Re: Hi
Dick,
That was the latest that gave real severe problems. My doc has prescribed me lamotrigine (lamictal) to go with wellbutrin instead of Zoloft or some other SSRI.
Did you ever find an anti-depressant that helped your depression but left you able to ejaculate?

Re: Camera inside urethra
John, You may have already had the procedure. But a cystoscopy I had after I had blood in my urine last year was uncomfortable but not painful. The doc cleaned the glans, applied some anesthetic gel, and inserted the tube and looked around in the bladder for a minute or two. For the recent procedure...

Hi
I'm 60, divorced and have 2 kids. I got diagnosed with prostate cancer 5 years ago. I had a tough time deciding on a treatment mainly worrying about the ED risks of each treatment option, but finally chose brachytherapy. I still question whether I made the right choice. Erectile problems increased f...
