Re: Weird post op symptoms anyone?

I just wanted to add that as of today, 30 days post op, all this seems to be gone. Apparently I am quite uniqe in having these symptoms, at least for such an extended time. But my best guess now is that they were simply long lasting stress reactions to pain, pain killers, lack of sleep (due to pain)...

Re: Aggresive Cycling Works!

Regarding the LGX length expanding potential: I think this is a misconception. I am by no means an expert, but I've been reading a bit and I discussed this issue a lot with Dr. Eid, and I am normally quite good at adding one and one together. When a surgeon sizes an implant patient he looks at the c...

Re: who would be the best regarded implant surgeon?

Most of us here only have experience from one surgeon. At least when it comes to actually having had the surgery. So do I. It means I cannot compare mine to another one in terms of results. What I can say though is that I picked Eid for one reason and one reason only: I thought he was the best. And ...

Re: trying to rationalize that going for an implant is a good de

If the decision comes down to odds and risks of failed outcome, then the decision is easy I'd say. There is enough statistics to proof that the success rate is high enough. I think it's rather about deciding whether having the implant successfully installed will give you what you want. Do you prefer...

Re: New implant thread, or at least I hope

Your engineering approach certainly won't hurt. But seriously, this is no issue. Pump and release. Easy even without a clue of how the valve really works. Interesting how some leading docs leave implant 50-100 % inflated for six weeks, while some (incl Eid and Kramer) leave it nearly 0% inflated and...

Re: New implant thread, or at least I hope

Alibaba: That's an absolute non-issue. You don't pinpoint the tiny little button. You press the whole surface. And it doesn't matter which side it is on since you need to hold a finger on the opposite side as well. So you put a thumb on one side and the index finger on the other (opposite) side and ...

Re: New implant thread, or at least I hope

I can only say one thing, except the standard 'good luck':
I am pretty sure that you and your wife are doing all possible to make sure that your chances of succes are maximized.
And that's about all one can do. After that it is in the hands of god, faith, luck, or whatever one believes in.
