Putting a pillow between your legs when side-sleeping will be very helpful. You will make sure that the implant and pump doesn't touch anything. Nothing abnormal so far. Hopefully, the pain will go away very soon.

It actually affects the reservoir placement but shouldn't cause any problem. The surgeon needs to know about the hernia repair, and whether a mesh is used or not. He/she can just locate it a little up so that it doesn't interfere with the mesh or the repair.

Comparing implant to pills can make sense if the pills actually work. If you get 70-80% erection with pills and could not last for more than 5 minutes, then the implant wins. I can only compare if I get an excellent erection with a low dose of pills. Otherwise, no comparison.
