Re: Contraception.

"Do you guys use any contraception. I’m just asking because I myself am an accident baby. Mom was 41 when she had me and though she had the menopause. I’m glad she was wrong. No... we use no contraception at all. We're pretty sure we're both quite fertile but decided years ago that we'd just t...

Re: Permanently disfigured?

Unfortunately every surgery has risk and infection is one of them. Those of us implanted we're so desperately to feel normal again the possibility outweighs the risk. There are no guarantees in life. donnie1954@mail.com Amen, what Donnie said! We know that risk is there. We do all we can to minimiz...

Re: Permanently disfigured?

The article that claimed infection rates of 21% for revisions is quite out of date, and was published in 2011. Most publications are based on data from a few years earlier, which makes these findings even older. I know from a doctor that does revisions, the standard practice is to irrigate the area...

Re: Permanently disfigured?

Not 100% positive, but if the infection rate is 3%-then that’s the risk each time one has an implant. That is, the risk of infection does not increase above the 3% each time. A math person can probably clarify. I just didn’t want anyone worrying unnecessarily about a revision. Not necessarily. I ha...

Re: Boston LGX has no relief valve

I wondered about the LGX. I was told that the AMS 700 series CX does have a relief valve. It's why my 'stretching routine' works with the CX. I don't continue pumping anymore because I don't need to. About 30-40 pumps and I'm ready. donnie1954@mail.com I think this new rep is WRONG!! Before Rich re...

Re: Hard tips when deflated

Hi all, I found a few people saying about hard tips, but I haven't managed to find any clarification as to whether this is normal or not: when deflated, the tips are still hard. They don't compress or buckle like the rest of the cylinders do. Is this a problem? Very thankful for any input. N0 ... t...

Re: Can pump forever?

Once the cylinders fill up, you should not be able to squeeze the ball anymore. Common sense that you can only put so much into a cylinder. Only difference is the Coloplast does not stretch out like the LGX. So what ever length of a coloplast cylinder they insert, that is the length you are going t...
