Re: 10-day post-op pic

My incisinon has sucked. I think it may partially be due to the fact the surgeon did a scrotoplasty at the same time and a larger horizontal scrotal incision. (more $$ for them). The OP photo looks great. I'm still having slight discharge 6 weeks later. I've reached out to the surgeon's office yeste...

Re: One week ago

It was one week ago that I became a bionic brother. It has been a good week and so far I can’t say I’ve had any pain. My scrotum has been a little uncomfortable, but I think that’s from the way that I was wrapped up after surgery. The gauze had formed a “rope” and it seemed to strangulate my nuts. ...

Re: Infection? - Incision Photo attached

[ Fibrin is sometimes confused with pus. A liquid or cream-like substance, possibly pus, and an indication of infection (usually accompanied by other signs or symptoms) Something yellowish solid, I had a lot and it also scared me a bit, it could be fibrin or fibrinogen, which is basically a protein...

Re: Infection? - Incision Photo attached

My doctor's recommendations were: Soap and water. Chlorhexidine. Leave the wound uncovered. Keep dry after cleaning it, you can apply a hair dryer that does not burn, to dry. Watch out for: Redness, pain, suppuration or inflammation of the wound, hardening of the surrounding area, excessive inflamm...

Re: Infection? - Incision Photo attached

My doctors office recommended this for pre and post op cleaning Thanks - I used that for 3-4 days pre-op but not postop. I have never heard of baby shampoo as a wound cleaner. My doctors said to use antibacterial soap. I use dial gold for showers. They also advised to use Bacitracin ointment and st...

Infection? - Incision Photo attached

Hi there I went for my two week recheck today. The PA was concerned about the appearance of the incision (alhough he said it was a possible superficial wound infection) and started me on two weeks of Keflex and has me washing the area with baby shampoo. I haven't had anything approaching a fever and...

Re: Financing Tips

For what it's worth there's a website, surgeo.com, that has a number of procedures available as a package purchase including implant surgery available from various practitioners, some of whom are referred to regularly on this forum. Financing is apparently available. Not an endorsement but if I didn...

Re: First consultation

Submuscular/ectopic resivour? What is that? I had previously had double hernia surgery with mesh in both sides and they put my resivor just under the top layer of muscle… it stands out like a growth!! About 1-1/2” by 3”. And probably stands out 3/4”. If I was ever in a locker room and people saw me...

Re: First consultation

Good for you! I had 4 different initial consultations set up but after my first one I felt confident enough I just went with him. Decided flying around the country to hear what I already knew just to get more “gut feels” wasn’t productive. Others have found multiple consults valuable. Me, i just wan...

Hey guys, I have been lurking on Franktalk for years but have only made an account recently. I recently had my Coloplast Titan implant done 3 weeks ago, and I still have somewhat hard bruising around the pubic area and inner thigh that is starting to fade but however is still there. My biggest conc...
