The insurance covers a 12 month period. I wish I would have thought to ask about coverage out to 8 - 10 years. It does not hurt to ask, every thing is negotiable. As for a replacement, if you put $83.50 a month on the side for 10 years, you got enough for the replacement sans inflation.

The complication insurance covers things that may happen during surgery, a urethra gets nicked, you have a reaction to anesthesia and need extra days in the hospital......
