Re: Recorse on implant problems

When we all undergo a surgical procedure there is always a chance that something may go wrong. The are no guarantees that you will be 100 % happy with the final out come. While I do agree with finding a surgeon that is great at what he does is important. By that I mean Quality of work not Quantity o...

Re: Can someone with a Titan OTR contact me (emergency deflation)

Sirsarcastic and I had the same surgeon (same implant day too)... he got the Titan and I got the AMS LGX. Dr. Brock told me that IF my swelling was gone (or almost) by the third week, I could start looking for the release button and IF comfortable, I could try to deflate the 40% he pumped me to. TH...

Re: Can someone with a Titan OTR contact me (emergency deflation)

I've been told to leave all alone until I go back on 5 jan and then I will be shown if it's all calmed down how to "use". I had been told several times before surgery that any activation would be some 4-6 weeks post op at least. Excellent advice. Glad to hear you are listening to your Doc...

Re: Can someone with a Titan OTR contact me (emergency deflation)

If you have a Titan touch can you please pm me. I got it deflated, inflated and can't deflate again. I'm in some pain Thanks First...is this still a problem? My second question is why are you cycling so early. All of us are still swollen, which will make it difficult to find the Deflate button. If ...

Re: Just need to vent

Riverdog, I hate to hear that you are having a difficult time with your implant. I will admit, I am shocked to hear that Doctors are allowing their patients to begin pumping so early. I had to wait a minimum of 4 weeks. Our bodies are still healing and swelling is still present. Our best instinct is...

Re: more candor from the surgeon

This is a link to an abstract of a paper that directly address this topic. It appears to be a newer paper and as such it shouldn't be assumed that the information discussed in it would be common knowledge to surgeons prior to the papers publication: Preoperative counseling and expectation managemen...

Re: My Titan Coloplast Implant Journey

4-Weeks Post-Implant First off, I want to thank everyone on here who has been so helpful in answering my questions. Even at 4 weeks this is still a wild ride. It's amazing the difference 4-weeks make. I didn't have time to cycle last night so I got up early this morning and took a hot bath and pump...
