Re: Any Anthem Insurance Members in Virginia

Turns out my BCBS benefits plan contain exclusions that do not cover sexual dysfunction. I even sent an appeal in and still denied. It’s a bummer for sure. I’m looking to get on my wife’s insurance when she starts a job in March and try again from there.

Re: My insurance denied the implant surgery

So after resubmission and appeals my insurance says that it remains denied due to exclusions. My wife starts a new job in March and I’m going to investigate if her coverage will be better. Needless to say I’ve been bummed about the whole delay. But it will happen at some point.

Any Anthem Insurance Members in Virginia

I am having to appeal an initial denial with Anthem. Any Virginians have better experience with Anthem?

Thanks, Journeyman. I know mine will eventually go through but for now I’m annoyed. Glad to hear you got everything sorted. How is everything post op months later?

My insurance denied the implant surgery

I have Anthem through my employer in Virginia. I was scheduled to receive the implant on 1/23 but now it’s on hold. The authorization department states it’s not covered. The benefits department states that it is. I’ve started an appeal process but due to scheduling I am probably delayed at least a m...

Re: I’m going bionic

Thanks, Jackhammer. I really appreciated reading your journal and learning from your experience. It has definitely helped me understand more of what to expect. I am one week away from the procedure and I am growing equally excited and nervous. At least I am still sleeping at night. I’m anxious for t...

I’m going bionic

About a month back I had a consultation with Dr. Tajkirimi in Northern Virginia. I’ve had ED problems for many years up to a decade. He tried an injection that resulted in no erection whatsoever. After a Doppler ultrasound I was diagnosed with venous leakage. I could finally have exact answers to wh...
