Re: How do you know if the implant failed?

I've had 2 failures. First implanted in April 2023 and about 8 days or so after the operation ( they leave you partially inflated ) it leaked down and you could hear the air in the system because if the squishing it did as you tried to pump it up. Re-implanted in June. This failure on my second unit...

Re: Broken again?

Sorry John to hear what you are going through. It is really bad that you didn't know about dr. Hakky. You ended up going to an unknown surgeon, charging you 41K!!! Even dr. Eid wouldn't charge you this amount. If I am in your place, I wouldn't get operated by the same doctor again. It is apparently...

Re: How long were your testicles swollen?

Penoscrotal for me. I was swollen like a grapefruit for about a week and it got more normal just after the second week. I did ice mine several times each day. Most of the bruising showed up the second or third day, wear loose clothing but snug underwear. It gets better, just listen to the Dr.

Re: Broken again?

Well saw Dr today, yep he tried everything and it definitely has leaked down and lost the fluid. At least this time no 3-4 weeks of extra tests to find the issue. Just waiting on the scheduler to let me know when surgery is. Will be going with a LGX instead of the CX with the same measurements ( 12x...

Re: Broken again?

Also you should be able to negotiate that cost. When insurance pays it’s usually about 1/2 that price. One of my surgeries was billed at 78k. Insurance paid 22k. Yes original bill from hospital on both was almost 90k, but then they did a deduction which brought it to 41k, after looking at the full ...

Re: Would you get the new AMS TENACIO pump?

I might get it if available during my revision. I don't really see much difference other than it might be longer than the current one ( not a problem for me ), the faster pumping I doubt I would notice it. As far as the new design of the grips it might make it less slippery when pumping, but I don't...

Re: Broken again?

Yes you are in a terrible position! Who was your insurance company? Which hospital did you have surgery in? I have UMR part of United Healthcare and the surgery was done at Piedmont hospital in Stockbridge. The thing is, I never got any package, email, etc about there being exclusions to our plan e...

Re: Broken again?

You in Atlanta. Go see Dr Hakky in Buckhead. No I'm actually in Middle Ga between 1 to 2 hours or more depending on traffic. I didn't know about Dr Hakky before, but not sure how this will shake out. I know AMS picked up the cost for the device and hospital on the second surgery but not sure if tha...

Re: AMS 700 MS pump is hard as a rock

The pump at first is a bit hard to pump, as others said heat helps soften it, get in a hot bath or hot tub if you can, otherwise a heating pad a few times a day will help. And keep a good grip on it, that thing can be a bit slippery at times and will squirt out of your grip like a rocket, it's not f...

Re: How many revisions have you had ?

I had my original placed April of last year (2023), 1st revision June of last year. The first didn't even last till the followup visit ( about 8 or 9 days before it leaked down and wouldn't reinflate ) now the last 3 or 4 times of using it I thought I heard air in the system ( squishing sound ) but ...
