Re: Cigna declined me
Here is a quick update I am on the second level of heel with a third-party, and I am waiting on a response. I should have some thing by the middle of next week I wrote letters to both Cigna and Clsims appeal fiduciary services Highlighting the discriminatory nature of the exclusion. After that, I ho...

Re: Cigna declined me
Here’s a little update. I am taking my employer, and Cigna, to task on this one. I made it a point to scrutinize the exclusion, and looked at covered options. My employer covers gender reassignment procedures, and this included the IPP. I asked why I am being excluded, and pointes that out so it loo...

Re: Cigna declined me
So, a bit of an update.
Cigna has an “advocate” helping with the appeals process. Might hear something more next week. Boston Scientific has a type of patient support team that is a little helpful as well.
Here’s to hoping things get done soon.

Re: Cigna declined me
This blows my mind! - does your surgeon do a lot of implants? A lot of the commercial insurers have really strict criteria and the surgeon has to carefully document the medical need. As mentioned above they may need to do a doc to doc review with the insurance folks. check this out https://static.c...

Re: Cigna declined me
Honestly, I’m not surprised in the least, but I am disappointed. My employer here in San Antonio decided it will be an excellent idea to switch over to CIGNA I wish we had some singing in the matter over here because this was a very poor decision by our benefits people Out of curiosity, has anybody...

Re: Aetna Private Insurance through Employer
Has anyone had an implant using Aetna Private Insurance that is provided by your employer?? I am just trying to see if they cover the surgery. I called and the rep said they do but requires preauthorization. I called the doctors office and was told they generally reject covering it when its a priva...

Re: AMS and Peyronies
I am in the same boat, but have the hourglass deformation as opposed to a curve. My doc seems confident the ams cx would work best for me. I wonder if anyone else has had good result: with the hourglass being resolved after getting the cx implanted?
