Re: AMS 700 MS pump is hard as a rock

Yikes -- how do you find where to squeeze? I've tried every which way.

The bulb is so hard to squeeze I'm tempted to use a nut cracker (!!!!).

AMS 700 MS pump is hard as a rock

Surgery almost 6 weeks ago. The pump is very hard and almost impossible to squeeze. Extreme pressure required. Very unlike the demo model. Any ideas why?

Re: Implanted Jan 17, 2024... WOW, the pain

I was implanted on 12/18 -- now about 5 weeks out. Bro, I hear you. This is not minor outpatient surgery where you are back up after a couple of days. I was in constant excruciating pain for 4 weeks. Now subsided a bit, but with inflation and penetration the pain returns in spades. This part of the ...

Re: Got my implant on January 16,2024

I got my AMS 700 LGX 4 days after you. We are now both about 5 weeks out. My recovery was painful and some serious edema (swelling). My scrotum is still swollen. Felt good enuf to attempt intercourse last night. It was difficult to use the pump -- it seemed very hard (almost solid) but eventually go...

Re: Serious post-surgical edema 1 wk after surgery

Follow up: To reduce edema I took low dose Prednisone (20mg/day) that I had left over from a previous prescription (unrelated to this) and OTC diuretics. Discontinued both today. Increased my fluid intake. Seems to have helped. Catheter was removed today, and I can now urinate with a decent stream. ...

Serious post-surgical edema 1 wk after surgery

Surgery 1 week ago (AMS 700 LGX). About 3 - 4 days out, noticed that swelling / edema was increasing, not getting better. Scrotum swollen to the size of an orange -- pain and pressure. Penile swelling interfered with urine flow -- down to a dribble and painful -- could not empty bladder. Weekend tri...

Final decisions to make before implant in December

First, I keep hoping that there will be some new drug discovery that will make an implant unnecessary. Anything on the horizon? Nothing so far has worked to facilitate vaginal penetration. Somewhere I saw info about rigid implants that were inserted from the side of the penis. Anyone have any links ...
