The decision on anesthesia does not rest with the surgeon. It is between you and your anesthetist. The surgeon may have a preference, but ultimately, nothing can be done without your consent.

My two cents. I find it extremely unlikely that you would want to put capsaicin into your urethra. The burn would be beyond your worst nightmare. Pills do nothing for me now. (Post RP). I use bimix. Took a good 6 months of trial and error with trimix, bimix, and quadmix. Settled on bimix because I don’t get the “ache”.
