Re: The Countdown Begins

@hikerman Great advice to all men to stay on top of their PSA - couldn't agree more. So I had my second round of therapy (salvage therapy) when my PSA jumped from .02 to .05. The ADT I was put on was an oral pill called Orgovyx. The worst side effect for me was afternoon fatigue, I had a few hot fla...

The Countdown Begins

Greeting everyone! So 2 weeks from today I will be going bionic with Dr. Levine in Illinois. My profile is a bit outdated, so an update. Diagnosed with Prostate cancer in late 2020, Had a robotic prostatectomy 3 years ago in March of 2021 - At that point pills were not enough so I joined the Trimix ...

Re: consultaion with dr Levine today

@Islanderboy58

I will also be getting a Titan installed by Dr. Levine in March of this year.
I echo your comments on the consultation - I'm very comfortable going with him.

I'm sure we will be comparing notes this spring.

Re: New TSA machines

Had my first pat down after going thru the "hands in the air" machine at Logan last month. I have not been implanted yet, but the TSA gentleman showed me the machine's image (with a red dot over my junk) and a rectangular object off to one side. Pretty sure the rectangular object was surgi...

Re: Monday is the day I restore what prostate cancer took from me

So…here’s my story in a nutshell. I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in 2016 and had a prostatectomy later that year. No natural erections since then. Vacuum, bimix, trimix all used with limited success for about three years and then I just gave up. It didn’t help that the cancer has r...

Re: RP and Nerve Removal

I went thru the RP 2.5 years ago at age 63. Pills worked before surgery but needed Trimix injections after surgery. One tip on avoiding length loss; about 6 months after surgery started using a VED and now 2 years later I have 90+% of my length and girth back (wish I would have started the VED at mo...

Re: Prostate Cancer survivor and a Future implant

So i had my meeting with Dr. Levine and his associate yesterday. It went very well, Dr. Levine answered all my questions and is a very down to earth doctor! After the exam; I asked about Titan versus AMX, and he said the choice was mine, but he leaned towards the Titan (mentioning the girth factor)....

Re: Prostate Cancer survivor and a Future implant

I also had my prostrate removed because I had a small spot close to the prostrate in the urethra about quarter inch in size. The surgeon gave me several options on what to do about the cancer. He said radiation was like a micro wave beam which would actually burn the spot and that there was the pos...

Re: Prostate Cancer survivor and a Future implant

Per the subject line: I had a radical robotic proctectomy 2.5 years ago. Surgery went very well but ED got worse. Pills no longer worked for me after surgery. VED helped but needed more help so tried Trimix and that has been working very well for me for the past 15 months. However; I am about to st...
