Re: Scrotal elasticity
I've had the same thing done recently on April 1. I've noticed the same thing you have except when I take a nice warm shower. My scrotum relaxes and then the pump goes into place where it should be. I didn't have much swelling at all, so I think I'm healing pretty quickly. Now at day 10 my scrotum i...

Re: Penis pointing up...for how long?
I'm told to wear my penis straight up until my follow-up visit at 4 weeks for activation. My doctor told me I'd be more pleased with the angle of my erection if I do it. I've noticed that now even partially inflated I'm at 2 o'clock which is actually a little better than I was before surgery. I don'...

Re: Day 11 of recovery: Pain and discomfort. Day 12: Feel great
So glad to hear you are doing so well. I'm just a few days behind you. I had my implant on April 1. It is weird how much one night's good sleep can do. Yesterday was my first day of really just feeling sore and not really any pain. I had to have 2 incisions because of previous abdominal surgery and ...

Re: Going Bonic!
So glad you are doing well. If I had just the one incision I'd be very comfortable right now. My balls are bruising now but there is no swelling and no real pain. Keeping my penis straight and flat against my abdomen pointing at my belly button is the most difficult challenge I'm having right now. H...

Re: Going Bonic!
Day 3 post op. Went to first follow-up this morning. I'm told I'm healing perfectly well. Drain was removed. Luckily I didn't have a catheter after surgery. My surgeon gave me the choice to remove and run the risk of having to have to catheter put back in place awake if I couldn't pee. Luckily, no p...

Re: Going Bonic!
Thanks for the responses. Yes, I'm going to take it slow and do what the medical team tells me. They've been spot-on so far. Like the doctor said, "Netflix is your friend right now."

Got My Implant!!
Got my implant yesterday at UVA medical center. All went well. Dr Ortiz and all the staff couldn't have made the experience any better. They did such a good job explaining things and making me comfortable. Obviously there is a little pain, but not as much right now as I expected. Had pretty good nig...

Tomorrow's my Bionic Day! NO April fools jokes here. I will be really relieved to have this behind me. I know that tomorrow is the start of something good. Just don't look forward to the painful part! I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Re: Do you tell people you got a penis implant?
My closest friends and family already know what is going to happen next week. A lot of the reason I tell people is because so many of them are worried that my cancer has come back. This is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. I'm correcting a problem with my body as a result of my cancer for ...

Re: Going Bonic!
I was so disappointed with my ED after prostate cancer treatment. I couldn't do RP because of earlier abdominal surgery so I really didn't have much choice. At least I never had any urinary symptoms. Mine is being done at University of Virginia Medical Center by Dr. Ortiz. After learning more more a...
