This is a known issue with the Coloplast pumps unfortunately. You're right that the only solution is to squeeze hard until it "pops". It happens because the inflate/deflate valve gets stuck in the "deflate" position. You can read about the issue here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih...
