Two Weeks Post-Op

I’ve been lurking and learning on FT since last November and I want to thank all of you guys for being so willing to share your implant journey. I’m now just two weeks post-op and want to start helping make the road a bit less scary for those of you contemplating a penile implant. So, here’s my stor...

Re: Dead Head

Thanks for your insight. Just so you know, there are no surgeons in the U.S. who are doing venous leak ligation surgery and they haven't for many years! I asked that very question at my last appointment with Dr. Mills @ UCLA.

Re: New technologies or other solutions?

I discussed the development of a battery operated pump with Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA yesterday. He was very aware of the development but believes it will be about 4 years before it clears the FDA and becomes available on the market. He does not think that a manual pump will be able to be "swappe...

Re: Dr. Jesse Mills @ UCLA

Hi Jerry G. Thanks for posting. I've met with Dr. Mills twice and completely concur with your observations. The only thing that bothers me a little about him is that he has a financial incentive to use Boston Medical AMS devices and only does a few implants a year of Coloplast devices and only when ...

Re: New technologies or other solutions?

This is to share my experience in response to postings about new technologies, etc. My urologist injected my penis with the Wharton's jelly portion of stem cells from an umbilical cord 4 months ago to revascularize penile tissue and veins. He also started me on a series of 6 TRT/MTS Shockwave treatm...

Re: Penis Version 2.0 - Ongoing Journal

First of all, I want to thank all of you guys on this forum for sharing your ED and implant experiences. After trolling for a few weeks on this forum, I've come away with the strong impression that the MOST important consideration for this particular surgery is selecting the "top" surgeon ...

Re: Penis Version 2.0 - Ongoing Journal

Thanks for the additional information, stephen54. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to help out a newbie. I'm more of an average length and girth kind of guy but was blessed with a oversized, battering ram (haha) glans head! (Mother nature can be so fickle!) So, I'm guessing that an AMS dev...

Re: Penis Version 2.0 - Ongoing Journal

Dr. Levine's name keeps popping up on the posts I've been reading lately. I will love to hear input from Dr. Levine's patients, especially Overall Satisfaction? Communication skills? How many implants he does in a typical year? Does he prefer AMS or Coloplast prostheses? Does he ever use RTEs? Anyth...
