Re: Dr. Rafael Carrion - Bait and Switch? Buyer Beware!

Now you know why I chose Dr Kata of Kissimmee to do my revision surgery yesterday. Doug, Do you think Kata is better than Carrion for the implant surgery? BTW, being naked in front of med students is not a major issue for me. For some reason people seem to be focused on that small part of my post. ...

Re: Dr. Rafael Carrion - Bait and Switch? Buyer Beware!

After I cancelled my implant surgery Saturday morning, I said to my wife that the cancellation would not be communicated to the TGH surgery unit and that I would get a call around 6:30a this morning asking why I'm not at TGH for the surgery. Sure enough, around 6:30a this morning I was awakened by a...

Perito was my first choice, but he does not accept my insurance.

I'm sure my experience with Perito would have been much more professional (if it had been possible).

Dr. Rafael Carrion - Bait and Switch? Buyer Beware!

Over a year ago I started looking for an implant surgeon in the Tampa area. After much research, I decided that Dr. Rafael Carrion was the guy. I met Dr. Carrion in early October. It was a strange meeting. He said things that he reversed during the same conversation. He seemed rather odd. But I move...

Re: Should I Cancel My Implant Surgery?

May the good lord guide the hands of the skilled surgeon that will heal you. :) Larry Thanks for the encouraging words, Larry. Turns out I've been told to now arrive at 5:30 a.m. on Monday with surgery at 7:30 a.m. Some poor soul must have chickened out. I've heard that a lot of guys cancel at the ...

Re: Biggest mistake ever.

My doctor told me that scarring occurs when ED has been present for a long time. It's apparently what happens as the penis atrophies from ED. I'm having my implant on Monday. My doctor told me he will have both the AMS 700 CX and LGX on his tray. If scarring permits, he will use the LGX. If there's ...

Re: Should I Cancel My Implant Surgery?

Thanks for the valuable information. What a great resource this forum is. Dr. Carrion will do the surgery and, perhaps, keep me overnight. He suggested that his goal would be to do a 3-piece inflatable, but if cardiac complications arose, he would switch to a malleable. I've heard a lot of negative ...

Have you had any feedback from the anesthesiologist about whether he would approve you for surgery?

No.
