Re: Biking after Implant

Congrats.

My ISM saddle is the only one I'm comfortable on. Slowly getting used to using different sit-bones, but my "stuff" is comfortable. It's good to be riding again. If you truly love biking, this saddle is worth the money.

Re: Biking after Implant

https://www.bacchettabikes.com/bike/giro-20-att/ Picked this one because it will be easier to ride and it's a "do everything" type bike. I always "personalize / modify" my bikes. I've already got lighter wheels, faster and lighter tires, different crankset, and a few other things...

Re: Biking after Implant

Eveready, you're too much. Vince, I was testing some saddles with the bike in a trainer and thought, "not too bad". Went out for a real ride and it felt quite a bit different. Nothing duplicates the real thing. If you already have the saddle, take it out for a real ride before you buy it. ...

Re: Biking after Implant

Eveready That's pretty wild, as I have also purchased an ISM saddle. I got the PL 1.1 model. Reactions are about the same as yours. Felt more comfortable on the "extra equipment in the bag" but didn't feel the most comfortable on the sit-bones. Thinking maybe time will help adjustment. Mea...

Re: red pea sized lump on scrotal skin

Sorry, Michael, didn't catch the date.
Too early in the morning and not enough coffee yet.

Hopefully things will "clear up" for you soon.

Re: red pea sized lump on scrotal skin

I had dissolvable sutures, however where they were tied (at the end of the incision) the small knot became slightly infected. It was definitely very tender there. After close inspection I saw this, removed the small piece of suture (that had not dissolved) , and it felt better immediately. But, I'm ...

Re: 1st time inflated

Been there, felt that. I remember being all excited about getting to see "the guy" hard again. And when I pumped it up, saying, "wait a minute, where's the rest of it ?" So I continue to cycle and hope that the rest returns. The pain slowly is diminishing. But at least it's real ...

Eveready
Loved your reply. Got a good laugh. So I'm actually buying a recumbent off of craigslist today to "tide me over" till I feel more comfortable on my Waterford. It's about biking, outside, pedaling, enjoying nature. With the Bulge leading the way. 8-)

Re: Insurance coverage

Hey Mk I also had Aetna through employer previously. Went to doctor for initial evaluation and was told to wait till I got on Medicare (which was only a couple of months) to have the surgery, because Aetna would not pay for it and Medicare would. I've since had the surgery (now on Medicare with supp...
